Pixel Play Blog Tour

Today is my stop on Emily's Pixel Play Blog Tour! Emily is the genius behind Carolina Patchworks. Also today happens to be her stop on my blog tour! :-)

Pixelate your patchwork...one strip at a time

Piece together fabric strips in a whole new way. Pixelated imagery is part of our pop culture-now quilters can bring it to their family with these cheerful quilt designs using their favorite solid colors. Use this unique style of strip piecing to make pictures of friendly fish, dastardly pirates, and beautiful butterflies much more fun!
• Kids of all ages (and grown-ups too) will love these quilts for the crib, the bed, or just for snuggling
• Easy to strip and sew with handy cutting guides and Kona color charts
• Designs include a fish bowl, flower gardens, a treasure map, and even an aerial view of the town center

The Quilts in the book are SO much fun. I'm excited to get started on one very soon! Emily asked me to channel my inner child and decide what quilt I would have wanted as a child. It wasn't hard since I am still a kid at heart!!

I love this Ambrosia Quilt!

I also have my eye on Deception Cove

and Pixelville

You may be wondering why I have my eye on two "boy" quilts?... My Brother & Sister-in-law are expecting a third child very soon!!  Elijah and Aliyah are going to have a little brother.

Hello, I think Deception Cove is really cool, but I think a boy will have more fun playing and driving his cars on Pixelville. Besides, what mom wouldn't want her little one occupied a little bit longer so she can get dinner on the table.

Josie McRazie said...

I would do Deception Cove...if I thought I could! Lolnbut they areboth really great!

If you are making the quilt for a child that still loves to play, I would definitely make Pixelville. My kids would have loved that quilt to play on with their cars, both my son and daughter!
I just love the uniqueness of these quilts!

Pixelville! I could see a little boy laying outside playing with on it.

Congratulations to your brother and sister-in-law, and to you of course!!
You would most certainly choose one with Elijah and Aliyah in mind and then, I think, you would go for Pixelville.

I LOVE Pixelville. So wonderfully boy! And, congratulations on becoming an aunt three times over. :)

Definitely Pixelville. You get twice the bang for your buck - a quilt for warmth and a town complete with roads for car and truck play on a rainy day!

kathy said...

I think a combination of both would be very cute and kids could play on the streets with cars and on the water with toy shis. They are both so cute if my son was small I would have to make one for him.
