Your Photos: Sweetheart Table Topper

Valentine's Day is around the corner and I thought I would show off some of your Sweetheart Table Toppers that you've shared on Instagram since I posted this free tutorial last year. The Sweetheart Table Topper uses my Hex N More ruler

Sweet Tooth Block 1 - Peppermint Swirl (And a Queen Size Quilt Option!)

My Sweet Tooth Block of the Month books are available now at local and online quilt shops! Since the book is out now, I thought it would be fun to share some inspiration for anyone looking to make a Sweet Tooth quilt. You can sign up to participate in a Sweet Tooth block of the month program with a local quilt shop or guild (ask around if you're looking to join one!), order a Sweet Tooth quilt kit, or craft your own Sweet Tooth quilt with your favorite 2 1/2" strips!

Kits featuring the Kona Cotton solids I used to make the twin size quilt will be available Spring 2016. Kits will include the Sweet Tooth book, 60 Kona Cotton 2 1/2" strips + all of the background and binding fabric to make the quilt.

This is what you'll need to make Block 1 of the quilt: the book, some background fabric and five 2 1/2" strips.

If you order a Kona quilt kit, you will break open the first roll up to pull your Block 1 fabric. The kit contains 4 rolls. Each roll contains 15 strips, the fabric needed for 3 blocks.

All of the strips in the roll up are in block order and all of the Kona colors used in each block are noted in the Sweet Tooth book. This photo shows the fabrics that are in Roll 1. (The rolls are marked.)

For Block 1, you'll use Kona MediterraneanKona TurquoiseKona MulberryKona Wisteria and Kona Cabbage:

With Gravity I suggested taping a small scrap of each fabric next to the diagrams in the book as you go. You can also do this with Sweet Tooth. This will be especially helpful if you decide to use different colored solids or prints.

Sweet Tooth also works really well with prints. I just started making a version from my stash Tula Pink fabrics & plan to share my blocks with you along the way!

One last bit of exciting news... I have included a bonus in the Sweet Tooth book for you!! Directions on how to make the quilt in Queen size!

If you're looking to order a Sweet Tooth quilt kit, they are available to pre-order now from Fat Quarter Shop. You can find the books now at Fat Quarter Shop and Hawthorne Threads, as well as other local and online quilt shops.

Tell us in the comments below: Will you be making a "spot on" Sweet Tooth quilt? Will you mix it up with your kit colors? OR are you making a Sweet Tooth quilt entirely of your own fabric selection, or something else?

Remember to share your photos on social media with the #SweetToothQuilt tag & have fun!
