Northern Lights made out of Voile by Tula Pink

We've all had one (or a few!) of those UFO, aka unfinished object, quilts hanging around the house or studio. I seem to be on track to finish up a couple UFOs in my studio as the year winds down. I wanted to share the story of my Northern Lights voile quilt to inspire anyone who might have their own UFO they want to finish soon.

Anna Maria Horner wrote a great blog post a few years ago on sewing with voile. It is full of info & a great read if you want to learn more or are ready to tackle sewing with voile.

The process as documented on Instagram over the last 3 years:

Binding! I decided to use this cotton print from Tula Pink's Eden collection for the binding.

Lately I haven't had the chance to do much binding. Typically I'm on a deadline so my amazing mom will do the hand sewing.

It was nice to work on this over a few days & not feel rushed.

Note: The prints that I used in my quilt were all released 3+ years ago and might be hard to find at this point.

What UFO quilts to have hiding that you want to break out & finish? Tell me all about them in the comments.
