I like kits but i don't always buy them. I always like to see some options within kits. Like having an original kit like the pattern is done in, and then being able to see them in a completely different style fabrics, like a civil war version and a modern version. It always lends (me anyway) to a whole new line of ideas and inspiration.

Jenn,  Please send me your information!
Thank you to everyone who entered.

Quilt kits are nice... I generally have more of an issue with buying patterns - except, in the case of your patterns, I don't think its something I could figure out how to do myself... in this case, a kit (with that ruler) & your patterns would be nice :)

I have never tried a quilt kit before but they look so sweet! One day I will just have to go out and buy one and try it! Thanks!!

Lisa England said...

I've never used a kit because I never wanted to make something that was exactly like something made by someone else. But a kit for a scrappy quilt, that may be a different story. Plus I could work in a few of my own favorite scraps along with the strips provided. That seems like a pretty good idea.

Deb said...

I purchase a LOT of quilt kits. If I see a sample of a pattern and I really like how it looks, why would I want to spend all my extra time trying to pick out fabric that looks similar to the sample, just buy the kit! Thanks for the giveaway.

Ladybug said...

I enjoy quilt kits and have bought several. I tend to buy them if the pattern requires lots of different fabrics or if the cuts of those fabrics are small, such as 1/4 yard. Lots of online shops require a 1/2 minimum so buying a kit is easier and let's me get an exact copy of the quilt that made me want to make the pattern in the first place.

I like quilt kits for gifts. It's nice to pick out something that suits the taste & decor of the person without having to source everything.

Charlotte said...

I like the idea of quilt kits for complex patterns that require a whole load of different fabrics in small amounts. It saves having to buy more fabric than needed.

Megan said...

I "like" Wondrous Woven Fabrics over on FB!

Cherie in St Louis said...

I rarely buy quilt kits as much of my enjoyment comes from selecting the fabrics for my projects.

Megan said...

As far as kits go, when I first started out quilting I really like kits. Just the fact that it took the "guess work" out of choosing fabrics. However now that I have been at it for a few years, I tend to shy away from them. I really enjoy the fabric/color choosing step of making a quilt. Thanks for the great giveaway!

Sandy said...

I love kits! I sometimes have a problems picking out my fabric for a pattern. Especially if there are several fabrics needed. I tend to get overwhelmed and end up walking away not having bought anything. Kits make it soooo much easier for me. Thanks for the opportunity to win that amazing kit. I think it would be perfect for a baby quilt.

Megan said...

I FBed about the giveaway! :)

I like quilt kits because it takes all the work and guessing out of cutting the peices. My only complaint would be that sometimes, kits for patterns I love don't come with fabric I love.

I wouldn't use quilt kits all the time as I like to play around with fabrics and scraps and to do my own thing. I think kits are fabulous though for when I want to make something in a hurry, or to have a project that I don't have to think too much about to take on a trip or to a retreat.

I "liked" them on Facebook

Kristin said...

I have mixed feelings about quilt kits...i just finished my first top from a kit and while it was really nice to have everything pulled together for me it was more expensive. I also discovered that i don't like working with perches because i love the smell of freshy washed fabrics, which isn't an option with precuts. Silly, perhaps, but true.

Jan said...

I'm not a big fan of quilt kits. I've only purchased one, and still haven't used it. I think I like to tweak things, too much.

Greenstylemom said...

I like quilt kits in theory, but I've never actually purchased a kit. Then again I've only purchased a couple patterns ever. Of course, I've only made a handful of quilts so far... but I have plans for lots and lots more!

Marcia W. said...

"What do you think about quilt kits?" I'm not into quilt kits though purchased one that "had to have" and it is sitting unmade. Normally they are just so very expensive so I tend to collect fabrics bit by bit instead.

Any kinds of kits you'd like to see? I'd like to see more quilt kits that are less expensive bed-sized kits and include everything necessary including the backing and binding, thread to match.

What a great giveaway! I have purchased one quilt kit and liked it although I guess I didn't notice that the backing fabric wasn't included when I purchased it so was a tad disappointed - but it was my fault. :) I would love to win this quilt kit!

Kits--I never buy them, because I just like to buy random fabrics that I like and make up my own patterns. However, kits are good for people that want to get what they need and get working.

I like kits but i don't always buy them. I always like to see some options within kits. Like having an original kit like the pattern is done in, and then being able to see them in a completely different style fabrics, like a civil war version and a modern version. It always lends (me anyway) to a whole new line of ideas and inspiration.

I am really not big into kits - unless I have a extra busy schedule. My daughter loves them though! thanks for the giveaway

I am new to quilting, so I haven't spent the money to buy a kit. What if I'd mess it up? When I get a bit more experience I'm sure I'll be getting some:)

I love quilt kits! I am a beginning quilter so a kit takes much of the guess work out of it.
