Scrap Squad takes on Raspberry Dessert

Quiltmaker's Scrap Squad has taken on my Raspberry Dessert Pattern!
I have to tell you that I love this idea.  Some quilters can look at a pattern and see it in different colors, but some see a red & pink quilt and can't imagine it with other colors.  It's also cool to see how the original pattern can be adapted.  Some changed the setting... some added borders... one even made a rainbow!  This group has inspired me to want to make my own pattern in a new way.

{My original Raspberry Dessert}

Take a look at how different each one is!!

And...
Each member of the squad is having a giveaway right now where you can win one of my new patterns.
& Quiltmaker is having a giveaway for fabric!

So check out their blogs & give them some love!

Thanks so much for presenting our quilts from the scrap squad. I enjoyed this pattern so much, it went together beautifully and makes a nice presentation. I hope my quilt brings some comfort to a wounded soldier.
I wish you ever success Julie and look forward to seeing what beautiful things you create for us next!

Happy Sewing

Wow - the pattern looks so different depending on the color-way people chose. Thanks for sharing all these great photos for inspiration! I especially like the last 2.

Well I was able to tell this is a pattern I liked and would do even though pink is not even close to being my favorite color. I still love seeing all the variations and what everyone brought to the table. They are all beautiful quilts. Must be really fun for you to see this!

As soon as I saw your pink version, I started picturing lots of different color combinations! I especially love Dionne's version of this quilt with the black in it. They are all so lovely!

Julie,
Although just looking at your patterns gives us ample motivation to make a quilt with them, I hope our versions of Raspberry Dessert will give everyone further incentive to sit down with your pattern and make one of their own.
Thanks again,
Pat

So cool - I want THAT job! Your pattern's so versatile - it looks great in all the colorways. Sometimes, I get so caught up envisioning one project in a certain fabric that it blows my mind to see/think of it in a different fabric.

The variations are all fantastic! Confirms for me that it's a pattern I'll enjoy making, since I was going to pick totally different colors anyway.

I never would have thought to put the quilt together in such different ways. I would have changed colors but would never have thought scrappy. Thanks for posting all of them. What an inspiration!
