new patterns are in transit!

...and will be here at the studio on monday!!

I'm sorry I haven't given you more updates... but that was because I didn't want to tell you a date and then have to change it.  After market things were busy... busier than I could have imagined.  Long story short... I switched printers and all is good now.  A giant shipment {I'll take photos} is arriving via a freight truck on Monday... eek!!  As soon as they get here I'll be shipping them out to all the great stores listed on my Where to Buy page as well as the distributors I work with.

Thank you so much for your patience... and for your support.  When I started putting out my own patterns I had some personal goals of how many I'd sell or what shops would order... and with your support I've passed every goal... some by miles.  Really the last few months have been kinda shocking/happy/amazing/wonderful.

so thank you.
bunches & bunches.

What I want to know... is what are you doing this weekend?

See this closet... It's one of three places that I store finished quilts and it is a mess!
I need to re-fold all the quilts & figure out what is what... and then put it all back in!

...and yes I know father's day is this weekend.
but my daddy is in LA right now... with my brother & the grandkids
so I'll spend father's day cleaning & organizing... because it'll make my dad proud.

...and having this place a bit more organized before all those patterns show up is a good thing!
{if anyone local to me wants to come help Monday let me know!}

This weekend I'll be with my mum and dad - it's my mum's 60th and father's day all in the same day, double whammy! I'm taking my sewing machine with me though, in a desperate attempt to get just one more dress in before I head off on holiday a week tomorrow. Sure, there's nothing better planned for most of the day tomorrow, and it's forecast to rain anyway...

So glad they are coming! I've got a quilt show in October and need to hussle...If I were local, I'd be there. I just cleaned out my quilt closet and some of them I'd forgotten about. Maybe they will get a new home with Judy (Green Fairy Quilts) next year for their charity. Have a nice pieceful weekend!

I need to finish quilting a Texas A&M quilt for a friend. Not only is it the biggest quilt I've ever made, but it's also my first time attempting free motion quilting. So far so good, but it feels like it's taking forever to finish!

I'm moving. And I'm terrible. I didn't even buy/make my dad a present. But he's good with that. He's a great one.

So excited that Chopsticks is coming out soon! Love that pattern :)

My dad lives 12 hours away so I will be spending the weekend at a 6 hour free motion quilting class on Saturday, and then church on Sunday. after church however will be spend quilting more on my dad's surprise king sized quilt that i've been working on for the past 2.5 months as a father's day present for him! We are going out to visit over 4th of July weekend so fortunately I don't have to ship this beast! It's a pain in the behind but hopefully will turn out lovely and hopefully he will love it too :)

Good luck organizing - I'm so impressed you have so many finished quilts! I know where I'm heading if the power goes out in the winter haha.

I'm so proud of you meeting and exceeding your goal. Good for you!!! I love your patterns.
Now get cleaning sister! I love having things organized and not too cluttered, it really is inspiring. I do my best work with a clean, cleared out sewing room. I should probably go do that right now.
Have a great day!

That's awesome!! I can't wait to see them.

Didn't know you switched printers. Glad it worked out though! Your patterns really are the best I've come across so far...besides Joan's of course :)
I could probably help you on Tuesday before the meeting (if there's anything left to do)! Hubby is no longer going away for work.

Oh and the picture of your dad...too cute!

Hey - I just happened to be browsing around the Checkers website and did you know one of your hugs & kisses pattern is in the top 20 patterns there?! I saw it and thought, wow, i read her blog! Congrats :)

Julie your new patterns are awesome and the fabrics you chose for them are perfect. Do you think any shops will sell kits? I was checking your website this morning to see where I could purchase a couple (patterns). Girl you are on design fire, congratulations!!

I'd love to come help but unfortunately I'm not local. I seem to never and really mean never get anything done unless someone else is around to talk to. I don't need the help. I just seem to need the company. I'll be doing yard work and a litte fabric 'rearranging' this weekend. I'll be thinking about you! My day is not complete until I check your blog. I love it!

I LOVE your Chopsticks pattern! I just may have to splurge and buy it. I will have to see how much is left in my sewing budget after my trip out to Fabric Depot tonight...

Good luck organizing this weekend!!

My weekend plans aren't that far off from yours, except when I go through things I am putting them in boxes instead of back on the shelf. I'm packing to move. Wish I was sewing instead- yesterday I was excited just to sew a button back on my husband's shorts. When I settle in, maybe I'll have to order Chopsticks since I will have a creative room again.

I'd love to come organize/fondle your quilts this weekend, but I'm sitting in the Philly airport waiting for my flight to New Haven where I'll be presenting at a conference at Yale this weekend. I'll be spending father's day away from the father of my children - bah!

How exciting for you Julie! I'm thrilled for you with passing all your milestones you'd hoped for. That's awesome, although as one of your fans, I can say that I'm not surprised at all by that. :)

Sorry but I won't be coming Monday to help but, if I were closer I sure would. I'd just make you pay me in patterns. HAHA Nah, I'd do it free just 'cause you have given us SO many awesome tutorials. Good luck.

Too bad your Dad isn't near you for Father's Day but at least you can celebrate later with him. Father's Day is hard for me because we lost my Dad a few years back.

I want to finish piecing Christmas Wreath Wall Hanging from Moda Bake Shop website. And will continue working on my 60 degree diamond paper piecing project.

SOOOOO happy for your pattern marketing success.

I'll probably be doing some organizing myself this weekend. Would rather be helping you with that colorful closet - I'll probably be doing some clutter control in the kid's rooms or take on the much dreaded back yard shed.
