I have very little red. I have always had a problem using much red in my quilts!

Anonymous said...

Hmm . . . . my guess is that pink and red are the most underrepresented in my stash.

I have no purple! Like none. I've yet to buy anything in purple.

Now that I think of it, even though I just love browns, I don't have much of it in my stash! One of my last quilts I had such a hard time finding the right chocolate color and my LQS only had a couple to choose from.

Thanks for the chance to win!

I don't have much of a stash, but I'm definitely lacking in yellows! Thank you for the generous giveaway.

Pippa said...

The color urple is seriously lacking in my stash!

Jocelyn said...

I would say Orange. I am not a big fan of orange, but I do use a little in my fall quilts. Thanks for the great giveaway :-)

Amy said...

Thanks for the great giveaway Julie! I was surprised to find out that I have the least amount of reds in my stash...surprising because I use so much of the color!

Unknown said...

My tiny stash (what fun it is to build it) is missing blue.

Thanks for this chance.

Sharon said...

Definitely red but I don't know why. I'm trying to correct that.

Karen said...

I don't really have a stash, but I have a varied array of hideous yellows and supposed golds. I was trying to recreate Boilermaker colours.
I like teals and turquoise and blueish greens and don't have anything to show for it. Or even straight up green.

Joy said...

Yellow! I don't know why, but I have a hard time finding yellow fabrics that I like. On the other hand, I never met a red fabric (or shoes, purses, household appliances, etc, etc) that I didn't love and want to take home!

Tezzcan said...

That's easy, I'm trying to pull together stuff for a Bottled Rainbows quilt and I struggling with the Yellows and oranges.

K. Pendleton said...

pink!

jean said...

I would say that I need more purples and teals.
I definitely have a lot of blues and greens.
I always thought I was low on backgrounds and starting buying more of those and guess what! Now I have more of those than anything, but I still buy them! :-)
Thanks for the lovely giveaway!

Annmarie said...

I just looked in my stash closet where my FQ's are sorted by color in 3 stackable shoe cubbys - I need YELLOWS! But I'll take those wonderful strips instead! Thanks for the chance...

hollymade said...

I think oranges and yellows are underrepresented in my stash. I love blues and greens, so I have tons of those.

Kari Nitzel said...

The color I am usually lacking in is pinks and yellows. The pinks because I tend to use it a lot more; and there is no real reason for the yellows.

DevonMaid said...

Almost any colour! I've only recently been hooked by patchwork and I'm working hard to build up my stash! I'd love any help on offer along the way ...

Kandus said...

I absolutely love these fabrics, wow!!! Awesome giveaway. I was just looking at my stash and wishing I had some more pinks because a friend of mine who is 34 is going through chemo again for the second time in 2 years and I thought it would be nice to make her a lap quilt with shades of pink and ivorys and whites.

Dawn said...

Red. I would think it would be yellow, since I'm not usually a yellow person, but I love red and seem to have used all of my red fabrics without replacing them. Oh, purple is conspicuously absent, also... better go shopping for some basics!!

MoeWest said...

I don't have much of a stash yet, so your basics would be very welcome. I don't buy much pink - it's not a favourite of mine.

Lynne said...

I need more in the magenta-violet colorway. Thanks!

Sunnybec said...

Blue! I want to make a blue and white quilt and hardly have any blue. Thanks for the giveaway.

SoSarahSews said...

Definitely red. I love your blog.

Sarah W said...

Found out that I am low on pinks - just means I need to go shopping I guess

Splendorfalls said...

Pink. No question.

Jill Evans said...

I love purple, but it is intimidating. I would like more purples and know how to mix them.

btsoi. said...

Look at all those beautiful colours! I think the most under represented colour in my stash is pink!

Mary Anne said...

I'm trying to take control of my stash and scraps and I have noticed that red and purple are seriously deficient!!! Love your blog Julie - thanks for sharing your inspiration!

teaginny said...

I have hardly any red fabrics. In fact, most of my warm colors are underrepresented.

I would say yellow. Just not a big yellow fan. Thanks for the chance to win.

stephanie webb said...

I do believe yellow or orange are the least represented colors in my stash. I need to give them a chance sometime soon! Hope to win so I can work on that. stephanie(dot)webb10(at)gmail(dot)com

I love red, but it seems that I have very little of it.

sdkdlewis@gmail.com said...

I could definitely use more green! Thanks for the chance!

Michellekeenlyne said...

I am working on a "Bottled Rainbows" quilt ala stitchedincolor.com and I have notieced two colors that are especially lacking in my stack: Orange (really bad) and Red (bad).

I have tons of pinks and yellows, but the other warm colors are non-existent.

Thanks for the chance.

Melodee said...

Blue, aqua, turquoise are all short in my stash. What an awesome prize this will be for someone - maybe me!

Sandy said...

What a great bunch of fabrics...none that I have! My stash is very low in purples....

{Leila}Where the Orchids Grow said...

I have trouble finding the right red and orange prints.
Thanks for this lovely give away!

Millie said...

I am seriously lacking purple in my stash! Thanks for such a great prize.

Chelsea said...

Sweet! I think green is definitely under represented int stash. And yellow, but that's because I've just cut up all my yellows for a yellow only quilt.

KristyLou said...

I wish I had more reds. I don't have much of a stash, and I have not made anything with red yet....

deserae said...

I dont have much yellow or orange

Amy said...

I don't have much purple in my stash! I have a lot of trouble finding cute purple fabrics, actually.

Definitely purples, followed closely by pink. (But I have enough blues and greens for several people!)

Amy said...

Great fabric giveaway! I seriously lack yellow in my stash. I'll have to remedy that!

SewingMom2Three said...

I realized yesterday that I don't have enough yellow in my stash.

Sofei Wang said...

Thanks for the great giveaway. Mine is definitely green ... and grey!

Timolily said...

I have two girls and a boy and I realised recently that I have tons of pink patterns and basics and no blue. I wanted the blue for something else, but I obviously did more sewing for my girls than I did for my little man..probably did more housework too!!!

Jerri said...

Probably blue that isn't aqua. I have a hard time finding blues that I really like. From the online pics of fabric being released this summer, that might change.

Mitzi said...

I don't seem to ever collect any purple. I love purple so I don't know why that is. hmm... Great giveaway!

Erin said...

Purple is without question the color most lacking from my stash.

Lisa England said...

My stash seems short on greens. Maybe because there are so many shades of green I never seem to have the right one.

Lindsay said...

Yellow is my favourite and i don't have nearly enough of it! i always seen attracted to green & blue though. also red never gets picked up and i love it!
Yellow and Red.
thanks for the giveaway. but i always love reading your blog anyway!

Tiffany said...

I'm lacking blues and yellows! Poor colors need more love in my stash!!

erica said...

I probably have less orange that anything else but I don't use it that often, I use green more but don't have a lot of that either.

I'm lacking in the orange department.

BLUE! In a house FULL of BOYS you would think that blue would dominate, lol!
Thanks for the giveaway :)

Mrs. Bunny said...

my stash is always low on the warmer colors like reds, yellows, and oranges. however, i do have a bunch of pinks. on the flip side, my stash is over whelmed by blues and purples because i just keep buying them.

I adore purple, but only have five pieces of it. Yet, I am very picky about the proper application of yellow and I have two stacks of that . . .

I don't have anywhere near enough yellow. Or orange. Which is odd because I do love both of those colors.

Amy said...

Cool giveaway. Purple and orange are the "holes" in my colors of fabric.

Ronny said...

I have very little yellow in my stash as well...and red.

Katie said...

I have very few fabrics in red, orange and green. Must get shopping!

Rachel Slote-Brown said...

Purple. I love purple but I don't have very much.
Thanks for the giveaway. Beautiful fabrics!

Jodie said...

Strangely enough... I don't have very much black or brown... those of which are my staple colors. :)

Brianne Duncan said...

The color that is under-developed in my stash is yellows! I don't have any yellows! But plenty of blues and greens...I can tell which colors I am partial too!

Beth said...

Almost no yellow, and have very little solids.

rebecca said...

Believe it or not I don't think I have any red, and I love red! My kitchen, red... bathroom, red... hair, red. But fabric, not one bit of red.

caro said...

I am in the same boat as you. I love orange and I have almost zero in the stash.

Cheryl R said...

Definitely short on orange!

Deb said...

Yellow, for sure...maybe red. I think I tend for "safe" most of the time so I end up buying greens and blues. I do love them, but I need to branch out!

Patricia Lessell said...

Yellow is my new favorite Color but I have practically none if it

Dana said...

Probably orange. It has to be the right color of orange, something bright and fun!

The Chics said...

Neutral ivory, white, etc. I have hardly any! When I go to get a neutral background fabric I always come home with something else!! Once of these days I have to make a quilt with a white or ivory background!! Love how it looks quilted but always get distracted by color... oh look shiny! lol

The Calico Cat said...

While I have a good amount of blue, I "never" have the "right" blue.

definitely lacking in purple and yellow, I have tons of blue

I could sure use some yellows and oranges!

April Shae said...

Purple, and not just any purple, LIGHT purple (lavendar, lilac, etc)! For it to be my fav color I use it all up everytime I purchase any!!

Karen said...

Relatively new to quilting, so I need the full rainbow spectrum!

Erica said...

I love, love purple, but I think I have one purple fabric in my stash. I need to change that!

Alison said...

I have zero brown or black. I guess I tend to lean towards bright colors and prints.

Charlotte said...

This giveaway is amazing. My stash is very low in the blues, I have 2 little boys so actually blues should probably make up a large part of my stash!

Sharon P said...

Yeat another great giveaway! Thanks!

Deborah in Atlanta said...

I don't have enough RED. I love red, so I tend to use it a lot in my quilts. I'd like to have some red and aqua for my next quilt. So guess I need to be off to the LQS to search for some RED.

Lindsey F. said...

I have very little pink but that is by choice. I really need to add all colors to my stash because I have been depleting it lately without shopping for any new fabric. This giveaway would be the perfect shot in the arm for my stash.

Nicole Follow the White Bunny said...

Wonderful giveaway! I indeed sorted my stash recently and noticed that I had very little orange, yellow and grey fabrics!

Pam said...

yellow do not use it much in my quilts

~Michelle~ said...

Orange is definitely underrepresented, as are good purples (which are impossible to find).

Unknown said...

I love blue. My whole house is blue. I am missing greens from my stash and solids in all colors. What a great giveway!

Zegi said...

Wow, thanks for the giveaway opportunity! What a great prize :)

P's Qs said...

I'd have to say orange. 75% of my tshirts are orange bur very few fabrics. That was actually the first color I noticed in the pictures so maybe there's change in my feature. Thanks for the chance to win!

Melissa L said...

I definitely don't have enough Reds in my stash.

Kristal said...

Not much in the yellow department - I prefer yellows that lean towards gold, but I don't have many.

tarabu said...

I just ordered a full set of Kona solids last month - and am already out of blue (all of them). Apparently I need more blues in my stash, or less - then I might be forced to use something else!)

bethanndodd said...

Purple, definately!

Beautiful strips of fabric goodness :)

Molly Vetter said...

I have next to no purple. But I love orange, so I think it's underrepresented, too. No matter how much I have. ;)

MollyP said...

Lord, Julie; you know how to get a girl to comment. Great giveaway! The most under-representd color in my stash would be orange, too. It's a great color, just not what my eye moves towards when I fabric shop.

✾Jamie Lee Cooley✾ said...

I don't have many neutrals or tone-on-tone. Yellow is a color I have none of!

Nancy said...

I don't have a lot of orange... (Not my favorite color! LOL!)

Stacey said...

stash??? what stash? i am sad to say I have a drawer in a plastic cart, ummm, lets say about the size of a filing box, of fabric. so every color is lacking in my sad, very sad looking stash.

Elizabeth Dackson said...

Oooh, that's an easy one - I am seriously lacking in purples. Aviary 2 helped with that a bit, but I still have way more blues and greens and pinks than anything else in my stash :)

Jennifer said...

I just started quilting so haven't worked up a stash yet, but this would definitely help! I especially love the linens!

Paralegal Mentor said...

As a quilting newbie, I'm building my stash. Since I tend to purchase blues, adding these bright prints and solids would be wonderful. Thanks for doing this.

Alyssa Grace said...

Mine isn't really lacking a color, it's lacking solids!!! I only have red and orange, leftover from another project!

i don't even have a spec of orange!

Token Asian Friend said...

The color yellow is the most underrepresented color in my stash. It's hard to find a yellow that isn't over the top bright or buttery baby sweet.

Kelsey said...

Brown is probably my most underrepresented color. I've been more into grays and whites for my neutrals, so I haven't really bought any.

Purple is my most underrepresented non-neutral. It can be hard to find great purples.

Blue is definitely the color I have the most of. It's so easy to pair with other colors.

Marci Girl said...

I know for 100% sure that I do not have enough Purple!

Joelle said...

I love blue and it is totally under-represented. Dunno why.

scott said...

I love orange but do not have enough. Thanks for the giveaway. Eve

FLO said...

I need some purple and black or grey. Thank your for your generosity!

It's orange for me. Four of the ladies in my 3x6 hive wanted orange in their blocks and I didn't think I was going to have enough fabrics for it.

Allison said...

i can never have enough yellow! it's such a great color.

My best friend and I are making matching scrap rainbow quilts together and I too am sorely lacking in orange fabrics! I also always looking to add to my grey stash... I wish there were more options out there!
Thank you for the chance to win :)

Orange! I have so many pinks, purples, greens, blues, reds, yellows... it never even OCCURS to me to buy orange. I wonder why?

pam said...

OMG... choose a color? it feels like having to choose between your children. i think of colors and fabric lines in the same way :-)
so while no other colors are listening (or have computer ability) i would say that the color lacking in my stash is yellow.
thnx for the giveaways

Elisa said...

Yellow for me. I am trying to build it up in my stash! Thanks!

Unknown said...

purple is definitely the underrepresented color in my stash, but I never sew with it unless it's requested in a swap and then I buy something for the project.

I did recently discover that I don't have nearly as much yellow as I thought I did.

Isisjem said...

I love most colours if they are bright and happy. When I did my hexie charm quilt I discovered I have very little yellow or purple and not that much green. It's odd about the purple because I wear a lot. I just don't seem to find nice fabrics to sew with.

JuliePickles said...

I was pulling fabrics for a rainbow quilt the other day and realized I don't have nearly enough purple! I must add more purple to my stash for the future so I don't have to special order a fabric when inspiration strikes :)

Despite being a lover of purple I have hardly any in my stash, what a fab giveaway

quiltnmaryf said...

I have to agree on orange and yellow being the colors I have the least of. Thanks!

Andrea said...

I am definitely a girl in blue and green ...!

I have always, do not lacking the solid

Rachel said...

Green...and specifically apple green. I love green...all shades and for my 3rd boy (to be born in August) I decided for apple green to be the primary color in his room...along with orange and blue. So then of course I noticed not so much green in my stash...so to the quilt shop I went :)

Denise in PA said...

Wow, great giveaway Julie!! I have to say I am lacking in enough yellows - and I really like yellow. I am overrun with blue and green is well represented even after the "green quilt"!

Briawna said...

Hmmm, my stash is kinda short on lots of colors right now. I just finished a queen-sized color wheel string quilt. It's crazy and beautiful and I think I might lose my eyesight over this one. But I never have enough orange or yellow. I'm always drawn to greens, reds, and blues, so those poor yellows and oranges get neglected. Thanks for the chance!

Amy said...

My stash is super low on greens. And browns actually, but I think the latter is because I am constantly using them up :-)

DianeY said...

I seem to be short of red. I'm always looking for it & it seems like it should be easy to find so I don't know where it is hiding!

Kim said...

I just noticed that I am lacking in the yellow department, I have tons of blues, reds, greens, & oranges but not a lot of yellow. Thanks for the fun giveaway!

Laura said...

I am probably lacking most in primary colors - specifically red .... I think red is such a bold powerful color - but when I look @ my stash, I only have 1 print in red!

Thanks for the chance to win this AWESOME giveaway! =)

Gabrielle said...

I don't have enough Orange, Red or True Green. I seem to always have colour amnesia when I buy fabric, and end up with massive amounts of purples, blue-greens and yellow-greens. I thought I had every colour until I tried to put together a rainbow patchwork purse for a friend. These solid strips would be PERFECT for me! I am planning on trying to make a Mod Mood quilt this year. If you get a chance, come check out my giveaway too :)

PS: love your patterns, and your blog :)

Unknown said...

I have very little purple in my stash! Not sure why...just how it worked out I guess!! Thanks for the giveaway!

blue... which is suprising, since i should really make a quilt for the couch in the living room - which is painted blue.

It's hard to believe I have any colors that are underrepresented in my stash! I recently started a quilt with purples, and I would say that I have fewer purples than other colors. Grey also. Will have to add purples and greys at some point.

I love your blog! My stash is fairly well-balanced ... but I don't have very much brown/beige ... which is fine, because I prefer brighter colours. I never seem to have the "right" green either! I think there are so many greens, that you should have lots. Thank you for the giveaway!
