Sweet Tooth

I have a sweet tooth. Specifically a chocolate sweet tooth.

So a few weeks ago I had a giveaway and asked you a question.
"What is your favorite holiday candy??"
You gave me a lot of answers.
...and then I asked what you thought my favorite holiday candy was.
A lot of people said chocolate, but nobody said my favorite by name.

So what is my favorite holiday candy?

Nonpareils

I guess I can't be surprised that nobody guessed it when nobody in my own family got it right either. According to them most people don't consider "Nonpareils" a holiday candy. I consider them a holiday candy since I only seem to have them on holiday candy trays unless I search them out.

In other candy news I got a care package from a really good friend. Most of it is photographed below. Rachael has been in my life through ups & downs and always knows what to say (or not say) as well as how to cheer me up a bit with chocolate. She even wrote some posts for me a while back. Post #1 & Post #2.

Here is a list of what she sent me and why I think she sent it. I don't usually analyze gifts but this was pretty easy for me to do and it shows that each item was carefully thought about.

1. Blank note cards because nothing replaces a hand written note. Perfect Thank You Notes: Heartfelt And Handwritten
2. A notebook because even with a computer around me what feels like 24/7, Rachael knows I always have a notebook on me to jot down ideas or sketch out new designs.
3. Nina Garcia's Look Book: What to Wear for Every Occasion because little by little I'm taking an active role in what I wear as opposed to a passive one. Maybe I'll even start joining in on What I wore Wednesday.
4. M&M's because Rachael knows very well about my sweet tooth. She also knows that my favorite year round candy is M&M's.
5. Lip Gloss because along with #3 I need to stop wearing chapstick 24/7 and start looking in the mirror in the morning. Baby steps.

The gift was wrapped in fabric and tied with selvages for a bow. It was perfect.

Do you have a sweet tooth?
Do you have a friend that knows you as well as Rachael knows me?

I agree - Nonpareils are holiday candy!

I am making an effort to ignore my sweettooth but, oh yes, I do have one. Hersey Kisses are an all time favorite. I am also partial to Ben & Jerry's - mostly any flavor.

I had never heard them called that. We call them discos in the UK, and the sprinkles are usually brightly coloured. Yummy by whatever name :-)

I usually only have a sweet tooth at Halloween when Candy Corn comes around. I know totally odd but - thats what makes me - me.
You are very blessed to have a friend like Rachael - I have one as well - Steph - she is my Ace.

Keeping you & your family in my thoughts.

you're cute! :-) someone's got to take care of you while you're taking care of everything and everyone else. once you told me how much you enjoyed my "dress for success" presentation, i figured i would help you out on your new mission with the some of the same tactics that helped me - nina garcia & lip gloss! ;-)sometimes when i'm aways from home for an extended amount of time, putting pen to paper helps me get by. worked for me in london, might work for you in LA. and to not send you M&Ms is sacrilege. @mom of two: i found them at Rite Aid. they were a "special edition" a year ago in the Northeast and seem to have made a come back,

You are blessed to have a "special" friend. I have a sweet tooth also but I go for pies, cakes, not candy.

How funny....
I don't consider them holiday candy either but they are one of my absolute fabric candies too and I got a bag just like yours from my daughter for christmas...it makes you feel good when someone remembers something "small" like your favorite candy. I'm only eating 3-4 a night so they last!

Hahaa....love those. I received a box with red and green dots and if I'm not mistaken...which I could be....I seem to recall that you can make a cookie and press one of those in the middle and when it comes out of the oven you can spread the melted chocolate across the top like frosting!:)

Um I have never seen Nonpareils, or coconut M&M's or pretzel M&M's boy I am missing out on some real treats. Sweet tooth? Oh yeah, candy, lollies, chocolate even biscuits don't stand a chance around me, I can't help myself.

Nonpareils, eh?? I don't consider them holiday candy probably because my grandma used to have them around in a candy dish all of the time. Either those or the chocolate stars. That was in the 1950's, oh my, that dates me! You have a very good friend that knows you very well....what a fine thing to treasure.

I do have a sweet tooth, its candy corn ( I know totally silly but oh how I love it) and chocolate necco wafers...very hard to find these days but Joanne's of all places usually have them! I do have a dear friend that knows all my secrets...as I know her's...we have to stay friends! So glad you have yours too, they make the tough times a bit more bearable.

Love nonpareils too, but I'm mostly just a chocolate lover. Nonpareils, choc covered raisins, choc covered cherries, M & Ms...there's not much I don't like. As for friends, mine is Lee. We met in kindergarten and have been there for each other through thick and thin. I can't imagine my life without her.

I have a sweet tooth and the expanding waistline to prove it! And my twin sister is my best friend who knows me better than anyone else, but my husband, one of my college roommates and one of my more recent (13 years) friends all know me very well, too. I don't know what I'd do without them!
