Sunday Stash Report - Week 2

If I posted first thing this morning my stash report would have showed zero yards in.

Sadly the quilt shop that I used to work at closed. Since then they have had a few last minute sales & I thought I was going to miss them all since I was in LA. After 3 1/2 weeks of being away I flew home from LA on Friday. Elijah is in round 2 of treatments in a long road to recovery.

I had an e-mail from the shop late last night that said...
Fabric $2/yd when you finish any price bolt
80% off books & notions
So of course I made a trip to the shop this morning. Most of what I remember about the shop is gone, but they still had 500+ bolts and a large number of books, patterns, etc.

I bought 17 yards of assorted naturals & basics.

as well as some new books

Out
2.5 yards so far for my new place-mats & table runner

I am so glad Elijah is in recovery mode. He (and you) have been in my prayers. <3 On another note - how do you calculate your stash?? HAHA! I will post pics of mine later on on my blog...

Bet you are really torn, nice to get back home but wishing you could be here and that extra pair of hands.

In this week for me, oh a bunch, 12 yds for backings another assorted 5 yds for baby things, burp cloths and bibs and probably a receiving blanket or two for a Feb 5th shower and finally 1 yd of terry cloth for the cutest baby toy. Since its 60 in wide I'm figuring this will be an addition to my baby boxes for quite a while!

Out 1 yd, the adorable apron I just gave my sweet granddaughter Annika! (But next week I can count 12 out since the 3 quilts are going off to Natalia this week!

I am glad you were able to get some good deals. I wish I could get my hands on good fabric deals, but they come few and far between here. The last time a store closed it was 45 minutes outside of town, had GREAT deals, but the roads were too bad to get to in a timely manor and hubby had to be at work that evening.

I hope Elijah's recovery goes well. Sorry to hear about the quilt shop closing.

How do you count donated fabric? Do you still count that as fabric in? Do you count it as "purchased" in your yearly totals?

Looks like you got some nice things. Will add your nephew to my prayers.

My thoughts are with Elijah and the rest of your family *hugs*

That really stinks about the shop closing... I'd be really upset if the quilt shop I work at shut.
