*I'm in the process of moving to California.  Here is a small update.*

--

... and i'm tired of packing!
...but the good news is i can see the finish line.

Here are some photos from the week+ I spend in California earlier this month.
{Sorry for the delay in getting them posted.... but I've just been swamped with packing.}
Sunset at the beach

Quilt in a Day - One of the 6 shops I visited on my trip.

My soon to be new sewing studio!

The view out my windows of my soon to be new studio.

My niece Aliyah rocking the new blue M&M outfit I got her

...and here is Elijah rocking his matching orange M&M shirt.
{He had the same one before but grew out of it.}

Sew Modern in LA ...right before my class

I wanted to buy this entire section of Lizzy House's fabric!

My 1001 Peeps version of Hugs & Kisses on display in the shop.

Here is a shot from the front door.
The shop is beautiful & my class went great... so well that I forgot to take any photos once it began!

I also got to visit the San Diego Zoo

This woman was great & I learned a bunch of new things about elephants.

My trip was great... I didn't want to come back to Philly to finish packing... but my things weren't going to pack themselves.  I move in less than 2 weeks now... so things are crazy... but I'll post when I can.

Thank you for all the e-mails to check in on me... I know it was a long time to be away from my blog!
Talk soon!!

How is Elijah doing? He looks good!! Now, you DO NOT have to brag about that fabulous sewing space you will now have in my state heehee, can you just make sure there is a lil section of floor so I can come and visit? Heehee....And if there is just too much fabric to take with you and store in your new space, I would be happy to take it off your hands....can't wait to officially welcome you to California when you get here....and I may just have to BEG my hubby to let me travel to SO. Cal to one of your classes someday!!

So glad to hear from you, lady! I am wicked jealous of your new studio space. Those windows are fabulous! Don't get overwhelmed with the move. Take a little time for chillin' to keep yourself sane.

Wow, awesome sewing studio! Not that this unknown blog follower's opinion matters, but I think you mright wise decision to make this move. Family is such an important connection in life and definitely rates top priority, whenever possible...

I'm with you, moving is the pits. Bob and I were in the same house 30 years before we moved 13 years ago. I plan on staying here 30 years, I'll be 84 then, so maybe I should make it 40 years.

I am so excited that you are moving to the West Coast! I know it is a huge undertaking... and coming out here with all of your worldly goods is going to be quite an adventure... but it will be a great adventure when it is all said and done!
Oh, and I love your studio!!!

Wo-ow! Welcome to your new home and looks like you're going to have a fabulous studio!

What a huge change for you but I think you're already loving it! I know you're going to love being near your niece and nephew. The quilt shops are amazing! And your studio is going to rock once you get all your fabrics and equipment in there. I'm so excited for you. Thanks for the update. We've all been missing you and are looking forward to you completing your move almost as much as you! Take care of yourself. It looks like you're almost there!

Love your pix....they are fun. Hope you get some rest before unpacking all those boxes.

I went to the middle school next to the zoo as a kid and spent a lot of time in the SD zoo....it is an amazing zoo.

Your sewing studio looks excellent and that view...the mountains...beautiful!

Totally jealous of that sewing studio you are going to have. AND that view! OMG I wouldn't get alot of work done with that view. I'd be so busy staring out at those windows. You are going to love setting your workspace up in that place.

I've been wondering how you were doing. Glad to 'hear' from you. Good luck in the move.
