Block Holder Books & Fresh Fabric Treats!

The wait is over!  I can finally reveal to you my project in Fresh Fabric Treats.  I created these two adorable Block Holder Books.  They have flannel pages and roll up to keep your projects neat & tidy while you work on them!

Fresh Fabric Treats should be hitting shelves any day!!
{Any pre-orders placed in my shop will ship as soon as they arrive!!}

Six of the 15 designers were at Quilt Market and we did a book signing on Sunday morning.  We were all a bit loopy from working hard & lacking sleep... and the signing got a bit hilarious.

Here is one of the calm moments.

L to R
Natalia, Kim, Vanessa, Sweetwater, Me, John

Eyebrows raised at some comment...

Deep in laughter...

Commenting on something...

I'm not sure what just got said...

But clearly I couldn't contain my laughter!

I started laughing so much that I was almost crying...

...and it wasn't easy to regain my composure... but I did my best!

Debbie from Moda looking on... probably thinking we are all crazy!
Thank you Debbie!! We all love you!

Thank you to everyone who came to our book signing.  We hope that you had fun & we gave you a few laughs!  Thank you to Katy for snapping all the signing photos with my camera!

Ok so more about my project!
Here they are open... the flannel pages work as mini-design walls

Here is the outside.  I love how the bright American Jane fabrics look!

...and all rolled up!
This way they are easy to take to a class, sewing night, or just about anywhere!

--

I have a limited number and when they are gone... they are gone.

A giant pincushion is the perfect addition to a set of Block Holders!

--

Did you know that we did our own photography for this book?
Yup!

I wanted mine to be the best it could be... so Jared came over and set up lighting for me.  Here are some of the test shots I took in the beginning to check my lighting & white balance.

It was a great learning experience & helped me to grow in my photo skills!

Julie - That is a great idea! I typically work on my projects at the dining room table (that way I can watch TV), so this will be great when I have quests over to eat!

Thanks for sharing your photos and stories of QM! I so wish I could have been there to meet so many talented designers and quilters. Perhaps I'll see you all in Knoxville or Houston.

Love the pieces, they would make nice gifts too.
I need to play with my white balance, that might help with my photos.

It's easy to see how much fun you had. I always think that kind of lingers around a book or project, all that good energy and happiness. Thanks for sharing.
