holiday ribbons quilt

here it is... my holiday ribbons quilt!

It is featured in the November/December 2010 issue of McCall’s Quilting
{ subscribers will be getting it in the mail soon! }
and i'll have some copies in the shop as soon as they arrive!

isn't the quilting amazing???
i wish i could say i did it... but all the quilting was done by

i put together the quilt top... one of the largest i've ever made...
and snapped this photo before sending it off to natalia

i couldn't be happier with what she did from there!
red swirls in the red squares
blue feathers in the blue squares
green diamonds in the green squares
and white pebbles in the entire background!
that's a lot of thread changes... but it looks so good!!

the detail is just amazing

she also did feathers in the border...
i didn't want to ship this quilt off.. but i had no choice!

i added the final touch of binding
using one of the candy cane prints

Gorgeous quilt Julie, I can't wait until my copy arrives in the mail box. I'm off to read the article now. Boy, you have been a busy girl! Oh and I love sending my quilts off to Natalia too, she does amazing work.

Love it! The pattern is nice and simple, but great detail with the alternating diamonds. I've been sending my quilts to Natalia for almost a year now, too, and I just love what she does to them. I'm more creative with the piecing, design and fabric selection; I let her work her magic with the quilting and she always does!

I love it. Holiday-ish without being cutesy. The quilting on it is nice too. I think the fabric you used for the binding really tops it off.
