Casey is hinding behing her quilt...
she chain pieced her blocks & made a lot of progress!

lastly...
on sunday i showed a sneak peek
but here is a better picture of the circle around quilt i'm working on
beyond the reef style... for the long beach quilt festival!
if you are interested in these beautiful hawaiian fabrics...
they can be purchased here

i got a few emails asking about kona crush..
so i took a few closeup shots to try & show you

it has a really great texture to it..
i'm thinking about carrying it in the shop... if enough people are interested.

i'm looking forward to quilting this over the weekend!!

side note..
i have sold out of the kits for this quilt as it was featured in Quilts & More magazine... thank you to everyone who purchase one!  i do have some freebird yardage available in the shop!

have you made something from one of my tutorials or patterns?
if so add it to the flickr group to share it with everyone!!

Wow...what a lot of different looks with the same design. Colors are all great. Lots of fun for everyone, I am sure. Keep it up, Julie...

Great fabric combinations! I was lucky enough to get one of the kits Julie so maybe thats one of my next projects, I'm inspired! And I'm looking forward to seeing the Beyond the Reef Style in a few weeks.

I was so excited to see your quilt on the front cover on a newstand in Sydney Australia today! I thought I recognised it as one of your quilts and when I opened it up it felt like the blogging world had mixed into real life!
Fantastic pattern. So simple, yet effective - the best kind!

Circles everywhere for real!?!

(sign of a good design, right?) ;)

I'd buy Kona Crush from you if you carried it... I too ♥ it...I have 3 or so yards in chocolate brown... maybe I should do another circle around??? Hmmm... :)

I LOVE the Hawaiian flower prints and have been looking for a good source for them. Any hints?
Circles are my favorites so I think I must do this...

Wow! It's always fun to see the same pattern made up in so many different fabrics/colors. Looks like a very fun and successful class!

Oh -- and I got to see the pillow you made for Heather the other day! So pretty -- and the first time I've see Crush. Nice!

I love them all! Love the Paris one, and the polka dot one and the Verna one... what a fun class to teach too! But now I am going to find my leftovers from Beyond the Reef and see if I can make a Hawaiian one. Oh, I bought some of that crush also... it's great.

Hey Julie. This pattern is so addictive! I have been sitting here looking through my fabrics wondering what to use next! I have been asked to take my top to my Modern Quilt Guild meeting tomorrow. Everyone loves it! I'll send them your way, Do you still have any magazines in stock?
