Tula Pink's Newest Fabric Collection: Chipper + a Giveaway!

Tula Pink has a new fabric collection shipping to local quilt shops now and I'm super excited to share it with you today! Her new collection is called Chipper and I've got a fat quarter bundle of it to giveaway, too.

Here is Tula Pink's booth for Chipper at Fall Quilt market featuring 3 of my Chopsticks quilts:

Tula designed 3 colorways for Chipper. Here's my Chopsticks quilt in the Raspberry colorway:

Tula's line of extra wide quilt backing fabric (108"), Free Fall, goes great with Chipper! I usually piece quilt labels into my quilt backs. With extra wide quilt backing fabric, there is no piecing needed. Sometimes I still like to add in a pieced label strip.

Chopsticks in the Mint colorway:

If you end up with long pieces of Tula Pink Free Fall that aren't big enough for a quilt back, piece them together!

This one is my favorite. I generally try to avoid picking favorites, but I just LOVE how the oranges pop off of the grey!! This is the Sorbet colorway.

Here they are all together in Tula Pink's Booth.

I also decided to make a color blocked version of my Boomerang quilt using Chipper. I added in a bit of True Colors and Eden as well.

Did you know that Tula Pink named this fabric Free Fall because the birds fly in all directions? That way you don't need to worry about a top or a bottom when using it for a quilt back. For this one I didn't piece in my label, which is very rare for me!!

So how did I mark the details of the quilt? I wrote them in by hand on one dot near a corner.

--

Tula also created two new Aurifil thread sets to coordinate with Chipper. They coordinate very well with Chipper and previous Tula Pink fabric collections.

I also made a Lily Pocket Purse to hold all my essentials at market. I've made this bag 3 times now and love to use it when traveling.

Recently I made a Just In Case Folder.

Here is the inside of my Just In Case Folder. This was my first time using sew-in magnets & I'm very happy with the results!
