This summer I want to work on a UFO that is more than 2 years old. It is a 2 color sampler quilt.
What a wonderful giveaway. I'd use a dark midnight or indigo blue and make a queen sized quilt for myself. This summer I want to catch up on some BOMs and I'm looking forward to making some Christmas Fairy panel hangings for my young great-nieces. And I hope to get some other Christmas projects done. Nice to think of Christmas when the days are too hot to move.

I like to hand quilt or finish a quilt by hand sewing the binding in the summer. We have a camper and I really enjoy sitting in the camper, or outside and sewing by hand.

I belong to a modern quilt group. Every month we take turns providing fabric and directions for the rest forcing us to think outside the box to create something we have never done before.
I have to many ufos and hopefully this summer I will finished the one that I have been working on for 15 years

My summertime project will be the quilt I started for my daughter when she went to college 9 years ago. It was my first "real" quilt and it got away from me fitting a king size bed! Will be a treat to be able to give it to her during her wedding year!

This summer I'd like to tackle a swimming suit for my kids. I'm not sure that I'm brave enough yet so I may stick to some lap quilts I'm working on for my folks.
I once tied 5 quilts while camping in the Mountins of Utah! I had to pick out pine needles from the batting before I put the top on because they kept falling onto it. When it started to sprinkle, I had to think of where I was going to put the one I was working on, because I knew it wouldn't fit in my camp trailer! Luckily I was tying the quilts, so I put my speed on and got it small enough to fit under the awning when it did finally start to rain!
I'm blasting out my quilting room, and organizing so I can shop my stuff to plan and complete some fun projects this summer! I'd love to add this cute quilt to my list!
My favorite summertime sewing project is English Paper Piecing hexagons! Such a great way to keep my hands busy and is so portable for the beach, camping, lake and river trips we take during the summer months. Also, another favorite is little hand quilting projects.
