It's a color me happy kind of day - with a giveaway!

Disclosure time: This is a sponsored giveaway by Fat Quarter Shop

Who's up for a giveaway today?!?!?

When the crew at Fat Quarter Shop contacted me to let me know that Mini Disco had been chosen as the March pattern of the month, I was beyond excited!

I love working with the Fat Quarter Shop, and Mini Disco has been so well received (she's so much fun to make!), I was happy dancing around the studio.

My Robert Kaufman Kona Solids Sunrise charm pack scraps from the Mini Disco cover sample.

Here are a few of your Mini Disco quilts!
You can share more of them using #Jaybirdmini

So of course when they asked if we could do a giveaway to mark the occasion, I picked Vanessa Christenson's Color Me Happy fat quarter bundle!

And then I found a few #ColorMeHappyFabric posts that were too good not to share:

What sewing or quilting projects color you happy? Tell us about them in the comments for a chance to win that V & Co fat quarter bundle.

I love bright and cheerful colours. The most joyous moment for me is to see the cut pieces stitched together and see the transformation of the quilt.

I just finished a quilt for my husband using your Chopsticks pattern. We all love the quilt and I get lots of good comment.

Having recently retired, I had intended to do some quilting with my 30 year old stash of fabric. That is, until I saw all of the beautiful fabrics that are available today. Well, needless to say, I have started another stash with the difference being that I am now happily quilting with it! Love the deep green and navy prints in Color Me Happy!😊

The sewing projects that make me happiest are those that my niece requests. She mails me a sketch of the purse/skirt/whatever that she wants and I make it for her. Or, at least, I try to make what she's sketched. I'm not always able to execute her VERY wild fashion visions!

Bright fun colors make me happy right now. I've got 4 quilt tops to get to pinning and all I can do is just stare at them. I have a new sewing room (grey walls so my fabric can 'pop') so now I just need to find the time to get down to quilting! There are some beautiful colors in that fabric line! Thanks for the chance to win!

I recently was overwhelmed with quilting joy when my six year old granddaughter proclaimed, "I want to be a sewer like Gigi!" I am project planning for summer vacation!

I love stars! I love paper-piecing. It just makes me happy just to have time to quilt right now. It makes me happy to complete quits myself--the whole process, including the quilting.

I'm working up a 60's paisley version of Lotus right now, and it makes me happy! Purples and navy and yellow and tangerine! Reminds me of Woodstock and my wonderfully misspent youth!

I am happily retreating with friends this weekend, all of us piecing Winding Ways quilts. My colors are blue and cream. It will be fun seeing what colors they bring to the mountains.

I love making sampler blocks. That way I don't get bored making the same block over and over! I also love star blocks because I love the challenge of making the points come out sharp. :)

Usually, sewing for the kids does it, but I'm into a ME stage... I need some clothes for work... so that's what's coloring me happy lately... my favorite is my burda 6910 shirt with rouching... I need to make more of these immediately... and I'm loving my old navy skirts that I hemmed a few inches... don't get excited... i'm on the short side! This bundle is GORGEOUS and totally in my happy color zone... Love the quilt, too.
