what a weekend!

i'm back home from the wedding and got the pictures working! lots of pictures in this post!

i made a monogram for the center block...

here it is all done!
the colors came from paint swatches from the bride...
the pink was the flowers and the purple/blue the dresses...
i made a pillowcase to match and use as a bag to store it!

the backing is black with a small print... i quilted it with black thread and it looks great! i made a pink label because white just didn't seem to look right...
here it is all folded up and ready for the trip to maryland!

the bride and groom loved it!

while i was in maryland i discovered a new shop!
Cottonseed Glory is a must visit...
their site boasts that they have over 6,000 bolts and i didn't count but i'm sure they do!
i had a great time and found lots of goodies...

such as....

coffee fabric that will become a pillow for my roommate

apple fat quarters and a new pattern
chocolate and sweet treat fat quarters that will be used for a yellow brick road quilt
sultry yardage that will be paired with my jelly roll for a coin quilt

figgy fat quarters and yardage! .. for who knows what??
more figgy yardage for a super secret project....
and full moon forest!!!!! i about lost it when i found this! i bought the entire bolt of the pink... a bit over 3 yards... i have some scraps of this from allison that made my day a few weeks ago... and i've been searching for more... those scraps got my eyes sharp... and i found it!! i got 2 yards of the dark green and the only fat quarter they had left of the light green! best find ever!!
--

last thing... do you know what this is?... i'll give you a few hints... it isn't mine... more than 15 people worked on it... and my part was not in the top... take a guess... i'll reveal the news in a few days!

Love the quilt you made.
Your fabric finds are amazing.
I live in MD, what part of MD is that shop ? All we have around here is Hancocks and well, they leave much to be desired. a day trip for decent fabric would be well spent.

thanks for commenting on my blog ;D

A-ma-Zing wedding quilt. What a fantastic. It looks like you have put a lot of thought into this quilt, and so nice to include pillow cases etc. Really really lovely. Always great to check out the fabric stores when traveling. Looks like you found a bonanza of fabrics, lucky you!

What is the name of the coffee fabric with the writing on it? I wanted to order some from my local store.
