I just finished a lavender and black quilt top, 6 different patterns of each and I love it. I really didn't think I would but it's turned out pretty cute. So I wouldn't be afraid of trying another silent films in a quilt top. I think it could look sensational.
I have a collection of favorite bright green prints that I've been saving for something special. I'm picturing these in a quilt with Silent Film.
I would combine these colors with a range of a colors like red/pink and make some kind of wallhanging. I am a new quilter, so not exactly sure.
I have a good friend who decorates in black and white... I'd love to make a quilt for her bed... I'd have to find the right design...

I have never used any of the Kona solids but I would be very interested in making a quilt with them for my son's room.

I would make a french braid quilt, using these fabrics and a few others that I have in my stash that would likely compliment these very well.

I think my head just exploded when I read the news about the Silent Film business! A while ago I made some grayscale sample blocks for people to look at when I'm making custom quilts (so I can get a feel for whether they like square or wonky, etc. without the distraction of color or pattern). Anyway, I LOVE the sample blocks so much that I want to make a whole grayscale quilt...which is where the Silent Film bundles of goodness would come into play!
I would add a bold green or blue and make a quilt.

Wow! What a giveaway!!! I would use these solids in my next quilt for my hubby! I am on my first mainly solids quilt for the Habitat Challenge with the LAMQG. And I'm really enjoying it. I have the design in mind for my husband's and these would be PERFECT! It's funny, I'm using most of the same colors in the Habitat challenge quilt: Ash, Med Grey, Coal, and Charcoal...too cool! Pick me! Pick me, oh glorious ramdom generator!!

I think I'd be looking to Jessica Levitt's Modern Mix for inspiration if I were the lucky winner :)
I'm not sure how I would use them, but I am always thinking I need a shade or two of grey, then it turns out I don't have what I need.
My youngest son loves black and gray! These would make a perfect GUY quilt. No frills, just simple black, cream and gray...maybe a square in a square design. Would be awesome!
I would use them to make a winter themed quilt, add one bright color, perhaps true aqua, the colors remind me of Scandinavia for some reason.
wow, that's a great set! In my mind's eye I see the jellyroll as four strips intersected by the fifth color.

I have a recent fascination with solids- some sort of modernistic quilt with lots of "empty" space....
I don't have many of the colors in Silent Film but surely could find a good place for them.
I have been collecting gray fabrics lately because I want to make a quilt with the grays shaded from light to dark diagonally. These pieces would be wonderful additions.
I do like this tonal jelly roll. I would use it in a quilt that would stay in MY own house! Love those colors!

Beautiful grouping! I think I might like to do something like stacked coins with a splash of color added but I'm really not sure. Definitely need to use a "modern" look!

I'm married to an architect and these are so his colors! I would incorporate the fabrics into a bargello quilt.
I have been wanting to make my sister a quilt and her colors are black, grey and white...almost exclusively. This would be a great place to start in terms of colors - then I will just have to pick a nice, simple, geometric pattern to show them off.
A quilt for my friend for Christmas. She loves black and white.
I would add a pop of red print, white/black prints. I just used charcoal with some of Kate Spain's Terrain print in a pillow, loved the contrast. Thanks for a great giveaway.

Awesome giveaway! I think there are enough pre-cuts to make a ton of different things. Some would be the tonal colors only and some could have a print or some colors in addition. So many possibilities.
I would use them all together with just ine block of a bright blue for a quilt for my hubby.
I would love to work with these fabrics. Im thinking of something with a few selected prints from ds quilts or mybe my hope valley. Theres a pattern in my mind Ive been wanting to make.

What a great set of basics! I don't have a specific pattern in mind but I always like to use neutrals for Sashing blocks, etc. I would mix these with prints
I would add an accent color and make a couch pillow and a matching throw. Or a tiered skirt for my girls.
I want to make a duvet cover based off the colors in a throw pillow that i love. There are several shades of gray in the pillow - this would be great in the duvet!
Love this idea! I would use these fabrics with a few black/grey + white pattern fabrics mixed in to make a masculine quilt for my brother, maybe even throw in some red.

I think these fabrics would be great paired with a crisp white and a one vibrant patterned fabric. I'm thinking red would be gorgeous. I think the colors would also lend themselves well to a more modern pattern although one doesn't come to mind right now.

Really like those shades and the theme. I can imagine a really nice modern art quilt for a guy, with a bright colored applique coming from a corner.

My cousin's birthday is coming up she loves blacks, whites, and greys. I'm thinking a drumstick roll case for her. Then maybe a small throw quilt or something to match :)

What an awesome selection of solids! I'd make a quilt. Not sure until I have fabric in hand, but maybe just the colors here, maybe add a few black/white prints, or some bright pink & lime green....traditional reds....options are endless! I guess that's the beauty of neutrals! ANYTHING GOES!

I would LOVE to win this bundle. I usually have to spend some quality time with the fabric before really deciding on a pattern, and even then what happens sometimes surprises even me! If I win, I'll send a picture of what it becomes!

I'm not sure what pattern I would use but I would definitely use it to make my Daddy a quilt. He's retired now and likes to take naps in his recliner. I wouldn't add any colors to it.

Those colours would be a great foil to one of my brighter jelly rolls in a quilt
I think I would add one colour to it and make a lap quilt. I like the idea of adding a really rich red to these colours so the monochromatic stands out and looks like the old photos that they used to paint. I love that look and think that this bundle could make a quilt that has a similar effect.

If I won I would do something extremely graphic with tons of ridged lines, sharp corners, and a Pattern within the chaos!
I would put them with hot pinks and lime greens in a quilt.
wow, that is a great color line and a huge amount of precuts! pillows for a couch would be first on my list, and maybe some floor pillows too, or guests, and because i have a toddler- we're on the floor a lot! zigzags would look great, i think.
I've been wanting to make a solids-only quilt, and I think these colors would make a dramatic statement with a cerise pink and a deep teal.

I would randomly piece 2 inch squares of all the grays into the sizes I would need to cutout a new tote bag pattern I got in the mail this week. I would pre-quilt in a bright thread, maybe hot pink, bright orange or teal.

I think that grey is the perfect neutral for sewing with all of the 'retro' colors available and have puchased an amount of Kona Coal to sew these quilts. Would love the other greys.

I would use these in a quilt with only one additional color -- probably a bright aqua~!
The charms would make a great table runner--I have a MBS pattern that would be perfect. I'd pair the strips with a variety of pink prints for a zigzag quilt. And stash the layer cake for future use :)

I would make a quilt with Silent Film by adding a bit of yellow and making it all pop. Nothing like a black and yellow quilt!

Hi Julie! Those are exiting solids after so much colour every where! They would make a great quilt with the theme of old movies, but I got two more ideas. I 'see' a city with lots of big houses (perhaps their shadows, too) just using these colours. And the other idea: my home country Finland is almost white, grey, black in wither time. When I see it from the airplane there are not much other colours. So I could make also a wall hanging quilt with the Finnish winter.
That would be interesting and very different work!

The other day I thought that the perfect name for the next puppy would be Kona. I love it!
I don't have a pattern in mind, but it would be a large lap quilt and I would want to add a deep red to the mix.
At first I started dreaming up a simple manly quilt of Silent Film and wonderfully rich plaid flannels. Then, this vision of a modern design came into my head that would probably require foundation piecing. I think I'd call it Sticks and Bricks (hope that's not an existing title out there, but it could always be changed - the vision is there).
seeing these colors, I already have an idea what to sew with there pieces of fabric... hopefully I'll have the chance to win :)
I would throw in a bright like lime green, or hot pink.. and then make a quilt..maybe a bag.. LOL.. so awesome!
Wow! These colors would work really nicely in a project I am planning for post-holiday sewing. I would like to piece a queen sized duvet for our down comforter. I just made one for my daughter's twin comforter and it turned out well. For that one I used the flower fairies prints-- if you haven't seen them they are really sweeet for little girls. I basically pieced a twin sized quilt top and sewed it to a store bought sheet to make the duvet.
If I get ambitious I may sew a slipcover for our couch and these colors would go well as coordinating pillows. thanks for the chance!
Oh I love solids.... I have always wanted to do just a solids quilt and I think it would be fun to challenge myself to use only these to make a monochromatic quilt.

What great colors! I have always liked to use blacks and grays in just about everything I make. At the moment I am making a Harley quillow for my DH's 1952 pickup to have over the seat when it is in car showes I think I would use these fabrics in that.

This giveaway is awesome! I have all of these colours but never thought about making them into "precuts" stripes etc. I could think of a quilt made with a Jelly Roll of solids (coloured) and a black/grey Jelly Roll.

Eleanore is the reason I quilt. My 1st quilt was for my husband. It was a log cabin that I made in the fall 10 years ago, he still loves it to this day. If it wasn't for Eleanor's easy directions and great enthusiasm I don't think I would have had the nerve to begin quilting. Many great thanks to Eleanor!
