I like kits but i don't always buy them. I always like to see some options within kits. Like having an original kit like the pattern is done in, and then being able to see them in a completely different style fabrics, like a civil war version and a modern version. It always lends (me anyway) to a whole new line of ideas and inspiration.

Thank you to everyone who entered.

«Oldest ‹Older 401 – 529 of 529I think kits are good. They take the worry out of how much fabric you need, did I get enough, etc.
I like Wondrour Woven Fabrics on FB.
I love, love, love qult kits. I like that the fabric is already put together for me. I do buy them often. Its usually the fabric that catches my eye and that is the reason I buy not the pattern. Sometims the pattern but most ofter the fabric.
Just tweeted about this giveaway. Thanks for the great giveaway. I can't wait to use that ruler.
I am not a fan of quilt kits. This is probably because I've never seen a kit that had fabrics that I was completely wild about. I much prefer to just buy the pattern and choose my own fabrics.
I just posted a link to your giveaway on my blog. http://totalcraftaddict.blogspot.com/2011/03/little-birdie.html
I like the idea of a kit but usually don't buy them. I have 2 sitting in my studio righ now. I like to add my own fabric to the kit to change it up a bit.
I think I failed to mention in my first entry that I liked WWF on facebook.
I've liked WW on FB. Also I do love this pattern, very pretty.
I like you on FB, but liked you before.
I have never used a kit, so not sure what I think. Some are gorgous and are tempting. But some seem to be expensive.
I have twittered about this awesome giveaway.
I like the idea of quilt kits, but I don't tend to buy them, I find it's cheaper to buy everything separately!
I 'like'd Wonderous Wovens on Facebook
I used to cut kits at a local quilt shop. They can be a real time saver, and once in a while they are fun to use, but I prefer to choose and cut my own stuff. I find I stay more creative that way.
Thanks for the giveaway chances.
I clicked like for Wondrous Wovens on their FB page.
Quilt kits?? I have used block of the month quilt kits before and they are a timesaver and take a lot of the prepping/planning time down to next to nothing.
I just "liked" Wondrous Woven Fabrics on Facebook (and visited their site and bought some Dr. Seuss fabric!).
I gave a shout out about your giveaway on Twitter and to check out the Wondrous Woven FB page too!
Happy Friday!
On quilt kits, it depends. I have bought a few kits of Moda Bakeshop projects because I just loved the fabric the project used. I also like the option of choosing my own fabric, so sometimes the kit is not the best way to go for me. It is a fantastic way to buy what you need for a quilt at a (typically) discounted price, something I'm always up for!
I've purchased a few kits. I like the fact that it is a project you can just pick up start. The only downside is you do not get to shop for/choose the fabric, which is 1 of my favorite things to do!
I have checked out the Wondrous Woven Fabric FB page and added it to my like list!
I've never gotten a quilt kit before, though I did pick up two tiny paper-piecing kits at the expo last week. I'd be interested to give it a shot for sure! :)
I liked them on Facebook
Only occassionally buy quilt kits, but love it when I find one that I like all the fabrics included.

I've never used a quilt kit. I like mine to have my own flair.
I like quilt kits...everything goes together!!
i like wonderous woven fabric's on facebook!
i think quilts kits are a great idea! i would love to try one. i think they'd be perfect for a newer quilter since everything is already together.
These fabrics just SING! Please count me in for the giveaway!

Quilt kits: I've never bought one, to be honest. I do like pre-cuts, though, so perhaps a kit is in my near future.

I've never bought a quilt kit. If I'm picked, this would be my first quilt kit. I usually reproduce the patterns I see from scratch, deciding on my own measurements and picking fabrics from my stash. That means there's a limit on the complexity of the quilts that I produce.
Looking forward to the giveaway I liked theri facebook page
I have never tried to use a kit for a quilt. I would really like to give it a try. I have always worried the directions would be to difficult. I haven't been sewing that long.
I liked Wondrous Woven Fabric on facebook! They're great!
I've never used a quilt kid before. But I think they are great. I'm just usually more likely to see a pattern I like and then enjoy the hunt to find the perfect fabric to go with it.
I posted it on facebook!
I like the idea of kits. A long time ago, i bought a kit... waited ages to put it together, then messed up cutting the borders. That really stunk. The border fabric wasn't around any more. I guess it was a learning opportunity.
I have "liked" the facebook post.
I no longer purchase kits unless they are small, like for a pin cushion, ornament, etc. The main reason why I do not purchase quilt kits is because I have found that I just did not have of a fabric because I always wash my fabrics and they either shrink/distort and I am left looking for the fabric or adding other fabrics. I still buy quilt patterns, but not kits.
I like Wondrous Wovens on FB
I love kits, I think they are fun. BUT I tend to buy kits for smaller projects due to lack of $$$$ for the bigger projects.
I liked WWF on Facebook!
I don't buy kits but have nothing against them - I think they're a wonderful thing if you want to have the exact fabric shown on a quilt, or if you're a beginner.
Thanks for the opportunity - Hugs and Kisses is my fave of the new patterns.

I've never used a quilt kit but I would give it a try!
I'm now a follower on fb!
I've only tried 1 kit so far, the fabrics & pattern for my Sweet Spot Schnibble quilt and I loved it! I will definitely try another kit sometime!

What a fantabulous giveaway! I'd LOVE this prize!
I have only used a kit once and it was a near disaster. The border print was miscut and the fabric was out of stock everywhere. Luckily for me an employee at a local quilt store had some in her personal stash and she was sweet enough to give it to me.
I posted about your giveaway on my blog

Thanks for the chance to win!
Mostly like quilt kits....sometimes I like to mix it up too much and do my own thing, but when you find a good kit, it's hard to beat! Thanks. joleehamlin [at] comcast [dot] net
I have a quilt kit that I have not made yet...but am looking forward to. Love your pattern and what you have done with that ruler.

I do like the quilt kits, cause you can get the exact fabric of what was used in the quilt and then I don't have to try and decide what fabric to use and then have to go and buy it. It is already put together!! Great patterns!
I'm a "liker" now! Thanks for the giveaway.
?Kits? Well, it's like a boxed cake mix: it makes it faster and easier to get a good result. Takes out the unknowns and unpredictable elements.. but, there is something inherently rewarding about creating your own recipe from your own head!
Honestly, I've never used a a quilt kit. So, I'd love to try one out!
not a blogger or tweeter, but I posted to FB.
Thanks
I am a sucker for kits. I generally fall in love with the look of a quilt and appreciate being able to reproduce it myself, WITHOUT having to hunt for all the fabrics!
I don't like to buy kits as I like to choose my own fabrics and tweek my own patterns. I do buy them for my mother as gifts as she has trouble choosing fabrics coordinating with a pattern and this helps her.
I think choosing the fabrics is the best part of making a quilt. Kits are OK but I'd rather choose my own fabric. BUT I'd take one if I won one!!! lol
I love kits - I am always so delighted when I find out that a quilt, or softee or something like that is available to make up just the way it is on the blog page.
Thanks for the opportunity to win one of yours! Hope you have a lovely weekend

I love the idea of quilt kits, but I'm international and quilt kits are expensive to ship, so that's why I buy them not really often:(

I love quilt kits. I have bought so many of them and use the patterns in them to make more quilts with my own stash later on.

I like kits because you have everything you need right there.
I haven't bought a kit yet because I find the prices high, but I know that all the coordinated prints are included and cut..I do like that about kits...perfectly coordinated!
I'd be more tempted to buy for a small project..runners/hangings/purses.

I've only purchased one kit so far, for a Halloween wallhanging. It's not made yet, but it will be by October. I usually like to choose my own fabric when making a quilt pattern.
I tweeted! Thanks for the great giveaway.
I liked Wonderous Woven Fabrics of Facebook!
I don't really like quilt kits. When I see a pattern I usually try to think of what I have in my stash to make it from!
I posted a link on my Facebbok page!
Wonderful giveaway. The Hugs & Kisses is one of my 3 favorites from your new patterns. I have just "liked" Wondrous Woven Fabric.

Great question about quilt kits. I have looked at them in the past but don't generally buy them. When buying fabrics to make a quilt I like to buy extra fabric for other things from the same fabrics. Also, I don't always make things exactly as shown and often use other fabrics.
On the other hand, a kit could be perfect if wanting to make the exact quilt seen especially if the fabrics used to make the quilt seen are my favaorite colors.

Love LOve LOVe LOVE the fabric it will be so much fun to win something like this .
Bea from Canada
I love quilt kits. I like knowing what the finished quilt will look like and know I don't have to second-guess the fabrics I choose on my own. I'd prefer all of the quilt top to be in the quilt kit, and fabric selections for the backing and binding provided, so I can purchase it at the same time. Quilt kits are so wonderful! dmj53(at)hotmail(dot)com
I bought a quilt kit only once, for a double wedding ring quilt that I didn't want to cut myself and that was, you guessed it, a wedding gift. I enjoy choosing fabrics myself, so it's not something I do often.
I've only bought one quilt kit so far. I like the idea of not having to choose your own fabric, I'm still unsure of my self in that department. I've just not found a kit that had both the pattern that I like and fabric that I like. But I especially like kits if they are free. :-)
hi ! I already like WWF on FB (and you of course !)
HI ! I 'shared' on Facebook about the giveaway !!

I have not bought a kit yet , in fear that I'll mess it up ; BUT I would love to and would like to make a kit quilt since everything is in it and my quilt will look like the pattern ; and the giveaway kit is my favorite of your new patterns !
I like Wonderous Woven Fabrics on FB
I don't usually buy quilt kits because often there is something in the kit that isn't my style. However if I do see one that I like, I would buy it! Thanks for the giveaway for these great patterns and the kit!
I like quilt kits, but I've only bought a couple. I'm fine with someone else picking out the fabrics and grouping them together for me. I'd love to win the jelly roll and pattern.
I do like scrappy quilts, but kits are great for taking along on vacation, or when moving to a new posting, so I will occasionally buy a kit or two. Thanks for the chance!
I think quilt kits are awesome. :)
I've never bought a quilt kit but I would think they would be fun!

I "like" Wonderous Woven on FB :-)
I really like kits but they have to be affordable. The most complemented quilt I've made recently was a Fig Tree kit called Cherry Delight. I enjoyed changing it a tiny bit to suit my style.
I think kits should be offered like this: I pick out a patter (let's say a Jaybird pattern) and tell you what fabric line I want it in. You cut the kit then send it. It's hard to sell a kit where the pattern AND pre-picked fabric appeal to lots of people. Make sense?
I have posted your giveaway on my blog!

I tweeted. Great giveaway! @frecklemama
I'm actually not much of a fan of kits. I like to choose my own fabrics and combinations. Awesome giveaway!
I've been so loving this hugs and kisses pattern! I'm eager to try a quilt kit! I've never tried one. I'm rather newish to quilting and the few I've made have all been "from scratch". A kit might well be refreshing!
I have liked wondrous woven fabrics on facebook now. :)
I love quilt kits but often find them more expensive than I am willing to pay. Mostly because I already have so much fabric that I don't need to buy more.
I've blogged about your giveaway.

I like the idea of quilt kits, I'm still not very good at choosing my own colour pallets. I'd like to see more contemporary feeling kits.
Good afternoon! I "liked" Wondrous Wovens on Facebook
I like a lot of quilt kits but not all of them. I think if Im compelled to buy one, of course, I am liking both the pattern and the fabrics used. Sometimes though, you receive a fabric in a kit that you wouldnt have ever selected and it goes perfectly with the others. Sometimes, although I love to choose (and even touch)fabric, you just don't have that kind of time.
I have never bought a quilt kit, yet, but they seem like a lot of fun, kind of like colour-by-numbers for quilting.

I love kits but can rarely afford them. I really dislike when they are more expensive then just buying the fabric and pattern by themselves.
I do buy them when I can and just love the fabrics.
I don't buy kits a lot, but I do like the idea. The design process is usually the hardest, so kits help. I usually end up buying FQ bundles of lines I love.
I like Wondrous Woven Fabric on Facebook
I do like kits. I have bought many of them and only twice out of probably 150 kits was I disappointed. Most people dislike the binding part of quilts, I dislike the cutting part.
