Telescope

I have a brand new pattern to share today and I'm in LOVE with this quilt!! Let me introduce you to Telescope!! You can get the PDF quilt pattern here.

Quilt Details
Fabric is Everglow & Neon True Colors, both by Tula Pink
Pattern - Telescope, JBQ 180
Designed by me
Quilted by Teresa Silva of Quilting Is My Bliss
Started on 1/12/23
Finished on 3/7/23
Quilt measures - 56" x 72" Lap Size

Telescope was designed to be a beautiful way to showcase fussy cut prints.  It's made with the Jaybird Quilts Fussy Cut Shapes & the Sidekick (or Super Sidekick) Ruler and there's no Y seams!

Fussy cutting is easy with the Jaybird Quilts Fussy Cut Shapes. You can watch video tutorials on how to use the Fussy Cut Shapes and the Sidekick rulers on my YouTube channel. I'm also hosting a sew along to help you make those fussy cut kites. You can sign up for it here.

This pattern was designed for Everglow & Neon True Colors, both by Tula Pink. When selecting other fabrics, choose a variety of stripes, dots, and fabrics that can be fussy cut.

Not only are the creatures fussy cut, but the stripes are too! The pattern includes easy directions on how to create these awesome stripe kites in the blocks.

The Temperature Quilt

Have you ever heard of a Temperature Quilt before? A Temperature Quilt is a visual snapshot of the daily high and low temperatures for a specific location during a specific year. The location & the timeframe is up to you!

I love temperature quilts! I've been working on figuring out how to make one with my rulers & on how to put together a fun sew along for the communal experience of making one with you. I'm so excited to share this new sew along experience with you & I can't wait to see what you make! Enroll here to join us.

The Temperature Quilt is made with the Hex N More & Sidekick ruler (or the Super Sidekick). Templates are also available in the pattern.

Share this image on social media to let everyone know that you're sewing along with us!

The Temperature Quilt can be made in 4 sizes:

Small Lap 74" x 77"

Large Lap 85" x 77"

Queen 96" x 96"

King 110" x 110"

This is one of my columns in progress.

I put together a series of worksheets & resources to help you track your daily high & low temperatures and plot out your fabric selections based on the average temperature ranges for you location.
The Temperature Quilt pattern, worksheets, sew along emails, bonus content, and sew along instructional videos are bundled up in one package that is only available here. Since this is such a unique quilt to make I came up with a unique way to offer it.

Here's where you can shop for Temperature Quilt kits:

Sew On & Sew North: North Dakota  (online & in-shop)

OhSewSally!: New York  (online & in-shop)

Fat Quarter Shop: Texas  (online only)

Chestnut Bay Quilting: New York  (online & in-shop)

Threaded Lines Quilt Shop: Texas  (online & in-shop)

Bloom Fabric, Art & Retreat: New York (online & in-shop)

**Attention shops**: If your shop is offering Temperature Quilt kits & you would like to be added to this list, please fill out this form.

And there's so many great opportunities for putting your own spin on the fabric selections to make a temperature quilt this is all your own! Enroll here to join us for the sew along & get the pattern.
