This quilt features three of the four shapes that the Hex N More Ruler can cut. The Jewel, the Half Hex & the Triangle.

--

This is the quilt I was working on a few weeks ago when I showed some sneak peeks of The Birds & The Bees over on Instagram.

If you look closely in this sneak peek you can actually see the Wonton quilt top coming together in the fourth photo.

I used my iPhone to capture my process while working on Wonton. This collage shows fabric selection to completed quilt top... and they are all from the same day! I love when I can get a quilt top done in a day.

--

I don't have too many outtakes from the cover photo shoot. I knew I wanted a simple background for the cover so that the quilt would pop. I took about 40+ photos of the quilt on different grassy areas... they all look pretty similar!!
I tried adding flowers... but they weren't adding anything to the look of the cover.
I snapped a few detail shots and I was done!

Wonton and the other new patterns will be available next week.
The Hex N More Ruler will also be shipping out to shops at the end of this week.

Hex N More!

As usual here are some outtakes!

I loved this tree but the wind wasn't cooperating with us.

Then we headed to a local playground. Here I am getting ready to toss the quilt up on a tree.

Law working on adjusting the quilt.

A good shot, but not great. I didn't like how the quilt kept getting bunched in the center & you couldn't see the entire design.

Lets try another toss. (It didn't get much better.)

Tree branch #3

More quilt tossing... I think it should be an Olympic sport.

...and more tossing.

Then we tried the grass. The lighting was weird & I wasn't feeling it.

After we tried all the trees we found this bench. The quilt was the exact width of the bench!

It started slipping...

...and the wind started blowing.

Eventually we adjusted the quilt and got the perfect shot!!

Close up shots of Angela's AMAZING work.

More about the other new quilts & projects soon!

Hex N More Ruler & New Patterns!!

It is time to FINALLY spill the beans!!

For the past year I have been working on developing a ruler!

Introducing...
Hex N More!

What makes this ruler special is that it can cut 4 shapes in 4 sizes!!

The first few samples just arrived at my house!!

The ruler comes with FULL COLOR instructions just like my patterns.
All of the pieces can be cut from strips.

I also have four brand new patterns that use the ruler.
I'll post more about each one over the next few days!

--
When is it all available?

The ruler and patterns will start shipping to shops around 8/8.

I will also have a limited amount of the rulers and the patterns with me at the Long Beach Quilt Festival this weekend! I'll be doing demos of the ruler so stop by to check it out!!

Where is it made?

In the USA!
I could have sourced it out of the country and saved money, but it was important to me to produce it here. All of my patterns are also printed in the USA.

How does it work?

Full color instructions are included with each ruler. In addition I'm working on posting a video tutorial that will show how it is used.

Price
The suggested retail price is $29.95

Thank YOU
To the many people who helped me test the ruler & the patterns. This was a team effort & I could not have done this without you.
