Last but not least of the new patterns is Teacups! Grab a bunch of 2 1/2" strips & a background fabric and you are ready to get sewing!
Teacups features the new Tumbler Double Strip Ruler from Creative Grids. It makes the cutting process fast & simple. The pattern also includes a full size template option as an alternative.

I knew I wanted the quilts to be pretty flat so that you could clearly see the tumbler. I took them out to our back porch where we have big squares of concrete. The cover came together fast & I don't have many outtakes. All I did was edit out a few grout lines that landed in some odd places on the cover.
The Mama Said Sew quilt is bound in a black and white mini-zigzag stripe.
The Summerlove quilt is bound in a blue dot and also has a small binding flange from a solid light grey. I included binding flange directions in this pattern. To do a flange you'll need 1/4 yard of additional fabric for any size you choose.
With the scrappy layout the binding flange helped to make the binding pop off the quilt.
These quilts are fun & fast to make with the new ruler!
Here are the Teacups quilts with Ditto & Ballerina.

I have two Eerie Alley jelly rolls set aside to make Radio Way. The leftover strips will be perfect for making Teacups!
Teacups is my favorite for sure, but Chopsticks is an "oldie but goodie"!
Yummy and Ballerina! I have Walk in the Woods and Little Apples ready to go for Yummy, just need to decide on hot pink or acid green as the accent. But next up after that is Chopsticks, new fabric on the way!
Arg, hard questions! If I *really* had to pick, I'm gonna say Ditto!
(BTW, my husband tells me "Ditto." when I say "I love you." to him sometimes just like in the movie. He says it because he wants to be cool like Patrick Swayze.)
I love the teacup pattern !!(but I hope there will come a digital version too)
I'm torn between Ballerina and Ditto as my favorite new ones. Thanks for showing us what's new. Kathie L in Allentown
I would say ditto! I like the jagged edges. Have a great day!
I really like all of them -- you've done a marvelous job! The Teacups quilt is really darling, but I'm head-over-heals about Three In A Box! :)
I really love them all...but if I had to choose one..I will pick Teacup. I love the picture with your niece.
Have fun at the Quilt Market..can't wait to hear all about it!!!
Wonderful quilts Julie. My favorites are 3 in a box and Ballerina. Your niece is soooo cute!
I adore this quilt. Unfortunately the ruler isn't here yet but a soon as it is I shall have it and the pattern.
Teacups is my favorite out of a bunch that I really like Julie!
Well I am a ditto lover but I like fast and easy and teacups looks like it could be that. Getting the ruler then ordering teacups! If you meet a woman named Michelle from wv gulits she has the ruler tell here Elizabeth says Teacups!
Oh, tough call. My top two are Teacups and Yummy!
Ditto! Ha, now you'll wonder if I'm copying the vote above or Ditto. I love Ditto. So many fun quilting opps there. But, I love them all and will have to make them all. Just wish my FMF would get here.
I really like ballerina, it's not like any quilt pattern I've ever seen. They are all quite wonderful though!
Way to go! They are all wonderful!! Smiles~Beth
Teacups! The Mama Said Sew one is amazing!!! Great job, Julie :o)
I just love the teacups and ditto. I can't wait to make both.
You're right! It's hard to choose. The first thing that attracted me to your blog were your unique patterns! That said, I whittled it down to Ditto, Firecracker, and Ballerina. Thanks for the chance. scmatz@hotmail.com
love them all so after the first of the year I should get them all.
