baby circle around!

{excuse the bad photos.. it's icky outside.. so i had to do these inside}

isn't she cute?
a 4x4 baby version of my circle around quilt!

i love the way it looks in nicey jane by heather bailey

and of course i pieced my label in the back
{ i didn't have any green or blue ones.. }

i used a white on white print this time.. instead of a solid white

look at the fray... it looks so nice when you pull it out of the dryer!

and lastly a shot of the entire back...
pieced as usual!

so why did i make it??
i'm teaching it as a class!!!

where you ask?
in june!!

That's awesome - the quilt and the class. I think this would be a perfect class for most quilt shops!

This is one awesome quilt. I wasn't letting myself buy anymore Nicey Jane, but this is too tempting! I really like that tone on tone white you used. The little grid design adds nice texture.

I love it. :)

You used my favorite print on the back.

I have quite a stash of Nicey Jane... part of it is becoming pinwheels... part of it hexies... maybe some of it needs to become circles. :)

Love this quilt - looking for a baby quilt to make for a friend's shower this summer - this would be perfect. I live less than 2 hours away from that shop! Wish I could take your class - maybe sometime you'd consider doing it in one day? :)

Thanks for responding to my blog :) Sorry I didn't have it set up for replies - new to all this :) I called the shop and mentioned the day class idea and signed up for emails so hopefully if they decide to do that, I can attend!!

What a great project for a class! Wish I could take it. These fabrics look great in this pattern. I used them in a set of placemats and table runner for spring, and just love the bright, fresh colors. Love that fraying effect too!

1.) Thank you for sharing another blog that I now must insist on reading every day. Because I have so much time for that. Agh!
2.) Love your label! From where did you get it? It's a fantastic idea.

I love the way you pieced the label in the back - that's a really great idea for a quilt that's a gift - I think I might be copying that idea if that's OK. Love you blog, I'm a follower.

Hello again - and I know I am stretching the monthly limit of questions asked on your blog (am I on your red list yet?). Nevertheless here it goes: the big circle around quilt in 'Quilts and more' was quilted with diagonal lines though the blocks. Did you do this on your DSM or put it on your frame? Got a 10ft set-up myself, but with 8 inch throat I am not sure how to quilt it. Maybe half diagonal in zig-zag? I suck at basting and wrestling my (though smaller) version through the DSM sounds challenging...
Love your small baby quilt version! Thinking about a 75 circle quilt for a 75. b'day...
Thanks for your help and enjoy your weekend!
