pillows

after making the pillowcase for the wedding quilt i started to think about pillows... and i've made more over the years than i realized... here is a bunch of them...

a pillow for me... for my bed back in college

another one from college... both made with sheets... i didn't like flat sheets back then... just used the fitted ones... hmmm

a wedding pillow for a friend... the quilt still isn't finished... its 90% done... (the wedding was 4 years ago)

a mini pillow for my brother... this is a pic of it sitting on the pillow form... either i finished it and didn't take a picture or i never finished it... sad that i can't remember. My sister in law informed me "We have the MINI pillow so you did complete it. I am almost positive though that right now it is packed up in a box in storage until we move. We may use it as the theme in the guest room if we ever get a house. " (You will get a house... i know it... i need a new place to paint!) they got a house!!

pillows for a co-worker from years ago... she had a "challenge for me" so simple!!

a quillow and matching pillow for a friend... yummy fleece!

a pillow i made to finish a stitchery someone else had done

a reversible pillow from scraps

side #2

sunflower pillows i just finished for a friend...

my latest pillow... made last week... it is actually a t-shirt... i have a friend who would not stop wearing his college shirt despite it falling apart to shreds... he asked if i could save it and my response was "the only think i could do with that is make a pillow" ...he then took me up on the offer...

the shirt before.... it was so torn apart that i had to fuse it to a piece of fabric to make it strong enough to hold together... i used another piece of the backing fabric and the lion logo ended up perfectly coming through the "S" on the front...

here is the back

and these are my living room pillows... there are 8 of them... 4 solid and 4 striped

they are the pillows being thrown at my nephew in my header...

so do you like making pillows?
got any good patterns?

I always have good intentions of making pillows with the leftovers from my quilts, but it just never happens. Maybe you'll get me inspired!

These are such good ideas! What kind of machine do you have? Is it sew/embroidery in one or do you have 2 separate ones?

Hmm... I've only ever made a few pillows. I guess I've never thought about making pillows. But it's a great idea!

No, I have not made a pillow. I have an old latch hook kit that I want to turn into a pillow. Your talents are never ending.

Love all of the pillow! You did a great job taking pics of all of them. Will there be a tutorial?
