Tula Pink Eden Stereo Quilt + a Fat Quarter Giveaway

I've got something fun to share with you today, check out this Stereo Quilt I made using Tula Pink's newest fabric line, Eden. I also used fabrics from Tula Pink's True Colors collection.

After some plotting and planning the layout and where I wanted each block to go, I started chain piecing.

There was a lot of fussy cutting that happened to make this quilt.

And there was even more fussy cutting. If you choose to make a Stereo quilt like this, you'll probably be best cutting from yardage or fat quarters rather than using the 10" squares that are the fabric requirements to make Stereo.

Perfect points matching up makes me happy.

The finished quilt top:

I used Tula Pink's Free Fall to back the quilt. Normally, I don't pre-wash my fabrics. Since this was one big piece of red fabric, I did pre-wash with Soak before I sent it off to be quilted.

I'm going to bind it in the grey lazy stripe from Tula Pink's True Colors collection.

Here it is as soon as it came home from the quilting spa, after Angela Walters worked her magic on it:

Tula Pink Free Fall was a perfect choice for the back.

--

Want to make a lap size Stereo like mine? Here is what you will need. Please note that this is more than the 65 - 10" Squares listed on the pattern because of the creative fabric placement. I suggest getting FQs, 1/3 Yard cuts or 1/2 Yards cuts to do fussy cutting if you desire.

My brother told me how much he loves the disappearing nine patch quilt that I gave to my mother. I really think it was a big hint. I know that his wife would love these fabrics, so a D9P for them would be perfect.

Love this! I have had my eye on the Stereo Quilt Pattern for some time now..just trying to get up the courage. Would love to win this pattern and fabric and make this quilt.

Very pretty. I would probably use it to make a lightweight quilt to use as a dedicated kennel cover for dog shows. My (female) dog and I compete in agility and obedience, and a bright and fun quilt like this would be perfect for her kennel.

Hildy said...

Beautiful quilt! I think I would use the tiger print as main print and arrange the other fabrics to highlight this print. Perhaps with some solids. Or I could shamelessy copy your quilt:-) Thanks for the chance to win!

I am always making quilts but I think a table runner and napkins for my porch would look awesome against the green background of the yard. I have made hexi and 60 degree quilts and just find the outcome wonderful. I have never tried tula pink's fabric lines and would consider fussy cutting as this would be a first for me. thanks for the information and happy quilting!

I love the color placement in your quilt. And that backing is so cute too. I would love to make a pickle dish quilt with this fabric.

I'm thinking of using some of the new range for fussy cutting for my La Pas quilt but know it will be used for heaps of projects 😃

Definitely Stereo! I was thinking maybe Park Bench or even running stripes, but the fabrics really pop in Stereo!

i have been eyeing Delight for a while. I think that would be the perfect pattern for this fabric!
