& easy to follow color instructions in a book format!
the first one i made was the pinafore bag
the pinafore bag can be found here
i used freebird fabric
...added some pockets... and never got around to making the tie
but the pattern is very well written.. and i love this bag
{ this was my spring market bag i never got around to showing you }
email me if you want a kit of fabrics for this bag
then at this most recent market they showed the juliet bag
{ i joked that they named it after me... even though the name has a better story.. ask them! }
again another very well written pattern
fabrics are meadowsweet & are available at cloth & bobbin
and above all fabric
i like how the tie comes out & can be changed
i did add a snap & a few extra pockets
{ i like pockets! }
here they are together to compare size
the pinafore is a lot bigger... much more of a tote
and the juliet is smaller.. more of a purse.. with longer straps
sorry all the photos are by the door...
but this is what the garden looked like this morning...
and i didn't want to get the bags wet!
here was barb & mary's booth at spring market...
they had 7 juliet bags.. one in each color!
and this photo was from fall market..
it's barb & mary showing their half square triangle quilt
from schoolhouse
which you should follow
because they post some funny stuff & have giveaways too!

Those bags are great looking! I have a pattern or two for other bags that I need to make, and then I may purchase that Juliet one...love the looks of that one, your fab choices are wonderful too!
Oh I love those! You picked the perfect fabrics to showcase them.
What pretty bags and how fun that they each function a little differently. Your fabric choices are divine too!
I love the Juliet bag - and especially in the Meadowsweet. Super cute!
I love the tie on that bag! SO cute!
Both bags are awesome. And the fabric choices are perfect.
Great looking bags and I love the choice of fabrics you used.
That bags are so cute that I can´t choose one,I love all.
I've actually been looking for a bag pattern to make one... I'm going to see if we have the pinafore one at work (I'm always so busy I never have time to browse).
The bags are darling! I love the the Juliet and really want to make it for myself! :)
I love the sisters! I took a class from them on the pinafore bag! They were a hoot and a half.
I'm going to have to try the new juliet bag - it's adorable.
Those bags are adorable! I love the fabrics you used too! And I'm with you-- the more pockets the better!!!
Agh! I don't know what to do! I want BOTH patterns! And the fabrics. More to put on my wish list. I think I need to increase my sewing budget. ;)
Those are really cute! I'll have to remember that the next time I want a new bag!
I actually kind of like your doorknob for bag photos!
I'm loving your bags, too - especially the Meadowsweet one!
These bags look great...how about a Mom & Me, so you can make you one & me one? Sounds good to a proud Mom..
I've made their quilt patterns, but never their bag patterns. I will have to try those two - very cute!
I have the Pinafore pattern but I haven't made it yet. Still deciding what fabrics I want to use. I love Juliet. I think I need that pattern too. I do agree with you about the well written part. I did read through the Pinfore pattern. I think I need to make it now. Maybe when "Happy" comes out, I'll do it. Your bags look great!
I really love that Juliet bag. I always have the intent of making a bag but it always gets put to the side for quilts. :)
It's so fun seeing all of the things you are whipping out! :)
I LOVE your bag using Freebird fabrics - I was looking at those exact two fabrics to make a dress for my baby girl!
Love them both but have a question about the Juliet bag...does the tie stay in place good? I mean you know how sometimes (most of the time)pants don't have enough loops and a belt will bunch up...does it do that?
And why can't designers put more loops on a pair of pants for goodness sakes?:)
I love this pattern. I even made a bag for myself a couple of months back. It's very comfy and I get lots of compliments on it. I so going to make at least 2 more from this pattern.
Love the bags. I bet that you are getting lots of use out of them!
Nicely done!! I love the pop of the orange on the bag :)
