This pattern is so much fun. Yesterday I started making a second Tasty table runner from Robert Kaufman Batiks. This is the Roll-Up I started with.

A progress picture from Instagram

I wasn't sure which fabric to use for the border so I posted this photo to Instagram & Facebook and was blown away by your response!! The post had over 200 comments in just a few hours & has over 350 now!

I decided to go with C! Thank you to everyone who voted and shared their thoughts.

Then last night I started a third one from Simply Color by V&Co.

My Brother Brad took a few photos of me working on it this morning.

For those that have asked if my studio is always clean... well here is proof that it isn't. Sometimes I've got piles of quilts & fabric all over the place! (Especially right after shows!)

Here are all three of the runners. I love how changing fabric can make one pattern look so different!! I'm sending them off to Angela and looking forward to seeing what quilting she decides to do.

I'm curious... which one is your favorite?
Does one fit the style of your home more than another?

  1. Well if you asked me yesterday it would have been the batiks but now I am loving Vanessa's fabric even more! Off to finish Yummy, and maybe cut strips for Radio Wave!

  5. Since I am working on a yellow and grey EPP hexy quilt I guess I have to go with that one!:)

BTW....what's the "little Jaybird Quilts" on the above pattern jacket? Is that for smaller items you have designed?:)

  6. Julie, I like the one on the left and I would've voted for the same fabric that you used. I love those blue bubbles and the color is really vibrant and compliments the runner.

  7. I love the batiks as well, though the Maasai Mara would probably suit my husband's style better.

  11. They are all lovely, but I am drawn to the batiks. That would make a great table runner for an outdoor gathering, so colorful and fun! Can't wait to see what Angela does with them.

  14. The rainbow one! But it wouldn't really go downstairs. Maybe upstairs in my sewing area to brighten the walls up! What an interesting pattern. I really like all three but definitely the rainbow colored one is my favorite. K- Love all your new patterns. Great stuff!

  23. I tend to the b/y/g, but colonial red and green would go in my house. None of the shown ones suit my house of kids' houses. I make for them. I must try them.
    Thanks
