Generation Q - Blog Tour & Giveaway

Welcome to the Gen Q Blog Tour!

I was SUPER excited when Gen Q posted that they would be launching a print format filled with the same spunk & humor as their very popular blog. They raised the funds needed through a Kickstarter campaign just a few months ago.

You can connect with Generation Q in many ways!
Gen Q is on Facebook
Gen Q is on Twitter
The Generation Q Blog has new content all the time.
....and the print issue I'm going to tell you about today is on sale in quilt shops now!

One of the awesome things about Gen Q is its size. It is smaller than most magazines. Here is is next to my iPad for a direct comparison. Since it's small you can easily toss it in your bag to read on the train, while waiting in a doctors office... basically anywhere!

My iPad is rocking a Tula Pink GelaSkin. I recommend getting a GelaSkin since they are fun and protect your device.

I was honored to be asked to have a project in the debut issue.

But after that... something even cooler happened.
See that?... Look closely.

Yup. My brother Brad & I teamed up to do most of the photography for the debut issue!

I loved visiting Rose Hughes home!

This piece of art was a favorite of mine. I love fun uses of typography.

Jake was there to art direct & we had a laughter filled afternoon.

Here is my table runner pattern that is featured in the issue. I wanted to create a manly table runner so I used the Urban Grit fabrics from Michael Miller.

Yummy Stone Beer.

My On Tap table runner is now being used to display an amazing T-Rex sculpture by Adam Homan.

I had no idea this photo was going to be used. To me it was an outtake!! I arrived at Quilt Market and found out it had been used!

It was very windy & slightly chilly... but we had a great time searching out fun places to photograph the quilts.

Photographing the issue was fun & exciting.
