Welcome to day one the 100 Blocks blog tour for volume 3 of 100 Blocks!
I was excited to find out that my name made the cover...
and then even more excited when I noticed that my block made the cover too!
So which block is mine?
Illusion
I'm sure most of you could have guessed!
A few weeks ago Judy over @ Patchwork Times showed the cover and asked her readers to guess which block was hers... and most of the comments picked my block as hers! I was honored! We e-mailed back and forth about it and had a good laugh.
This issue will be on sale starting May 10th. I'll have a limited number of copies in my shop as soon as they arrive or you can pre-order one now.
My favorite block in the magazine {after mine of course} is Patched Geese by Karrie Lyne of Freckled Whimsy.

I wanted to make a quilt to show you the possibilities of my block... but I knew with getting ready for Quilt Market that I wouldn't have time... so I recruited Candi and she made this beautiful quilt!
Here we are rocking shades since it was bright as can be on Saturday.
{This is before we spent 6+ hours sewing together}

So do you want to win a copy of 100 Blocks??
Your block looks awesome with that blue/green pack (my favorite colors). Her little pop of pink was just genius!
Congrats on making the cover twice :)

ReplyDeleteI love your block, it has lots of possibilities. The centers of the squares could be fussy cut to showcase the fabric. OR it would make a great "I spy" quilt for a child. OR the colors could start in the upper right of the quilt shown as one end of the rainbow and wash thru the quilt.
ReplyDeleteHa ha, I guess you can see that ti inspired my imagination.
