Plaid Parade

What happens when you mix plaid with argyle?
you get my newest quilt design!!

Plaid Parade - JBQ 109
Features Ready, Set, Go! by Ann Kelle for Robert Kaufman
Pure Organic Solids

Ok... so by now you probably realize that I'm Ann Kelle's #1 fan. If you haven't, here is some proof that I'm mildly obsessed with Ann Kelle fabric.
1. I used Urban Zoologie for my Opposites Attract pattern cover.
2. I used Remix for the Hexagon Quilt A Long.
3. Urban Zoologie hexagons
4. Remix for my version of Vanessa's Banner Quilt
5. Remix & Metro Market for my coin strip pillow
6. Remix on a onesie
and the list goes on!

So when the opportunity came up to design a quilt with her new collection, of course I said yes!  This design came from the idea of putting plaid and argyle together in one.  Some argyle patterns are complicated because of the angles so I stuck to 90° & 45° angles with Plaid Parade!  This pattern will be available soon.  I'll post an exact ETA when I hear back from the printer.

BTW... All 8 prints in this new line are 100% organic!  Also there are now more than 20 Pure Organic Solids that can be used to coordinate.  All of the fabrics used in the quilt top for Plaid Parade are organic.

I'll tell you more about the development of this pattern soon, including showing you what fabrics I made it in originally... it looks like a completely different quilt!!  For now I'm headed off to The Village Quilter this morning to do some Lazy Angle Ruler demos and show off the new quilts!!

Giveaway Alert Kelle did a post about Ready, Set, Go! over on the jolly jabber yesterday to tell you all about her inspiration for this line.  As a gift she has offered up a fat quarter bundle of her new fabric for a giveaway... so go enter!

I have the fabric (Metro living by RK in orange/navy prints) and am just trying to work out in my mind how to use them!! I am so not the visualizer :(
