A Place for Everything!

My super easy place mats & holder are featured in a new bookazine!
{A really big magazine full of extra projects}
I used Central Park by Kate Spain.
Pre-quilted fabric + 1 Jelly Roll = Fun placemats & a holder!

Here is the cover of the bookazine
"Perfect for Precuts"
I have a limited number of copies available in the shop!

The original set I made last may using Luna Notte fabric by 3 sisters.

The APQ crew loved the set when I gave them a peek at them @ Spring Market last year.  By September they had decided which publication of their's it would be in & asked me to make a 2nd set in spring fabrics. Central Park was the perfect choice!

The finished set in Central Park

Here is one placemat with a spring square dish...

...& here they are all set up for lunch by the APQ crew.

The photos above looks yummy... but when I found out that matching plates were coming out from Crate & Barrel I knew I needed them!  Ok so I probably don't need them, but I really wanted them. :-)  I made a trip to C&B this weekend to grab them before they are gone.

The plates are a bit darker in color than the fabrics, but they still look beautiful together. I might even make some matching napkins!

I'll take more photos once the place mats come home!

  7. I love the Central Park prints and the dishes, and really like your placemats too. But they need to make the magazine a bit sturdier to be worth the price tag! LOL

  12. I picked up this magazine in Boise last week and love it. The shop that I got it in had just unboxed them. I haven't been through every pattern in the bookazine but they all look like a lot of fun.

    Congrats on another publication.

  20. I really want those dishes too! My mom gave me olivey-green Fiestaware for Christmas it matches the leaves on the fabric, so I'm plotting to just buy a set of the patterned plates if I ever drag myself to the mall!
