snow.. snow and more snow.

these photos don't show it all.
but they were from early this morning.

my poor car
she hates it when it snows

it came down heavy overnight and all morning

for a while shoveling was pointless as it just wouldn't stop snowing

it slowed and then stopped and we have had a few hours of a break
but they expect another 10+ inches tonight

i wish i could say i enjoy it
but i'm so over the snow & i want to go back to california.

  1. Same thing going on here in NJ, and like you, I'm so over the snow. Spring can't come soon enough.

  5. The winter here has been the same... I am so ready for spring. We thought for sure since we finally bought a snowblower last winter that it would be a dry winter!

  7. I'm with you. And I'm freaking out because we move on Friday morning 7:30am. This snow is crampin' my style. I have a lot to do and it doesn't include shoveling. :(

  8. I feel your pain. After living in Chicago for 3 years I could not wait to move back to the good ol' Valley of the Sun....Phoenix. And it sure has not disappointed. Good Luck.

  11. I'm sure everyone would love to have you come back too. My daughter who went to UPenn is so happy to be back in CA, she enjoyed her time in Philly but not the weather.

  12. I certainly picked a good January to spend in FL rather than MN! My time is running out. We have to think of all those lovely months of the year, right?

  17. Well, it makes for a productive quilter, that's for sure. Time for some quality time with your machine!! Cali does miss you...

  18. OMG your last line is an exact quote from me this morning. After spending ALL morning shoveling snow I've been telling my friends that I AM OVER IT. I'd like to return to California now please.

  19. I did NOT know you were from Cali! Me too!

I bet all that snow is keeping you holed up. Snow is really nice when you are visiting, but not when you have to live with it for months.

  20. Did you know that an hour of shovelling snow burns 400 calories? Forget about going to the gym after that workout! Don't forget to warm up, though, before going full steam as you can seriously hurt yourself.

I am praying for warm weather too. We (up here in the prairies of Canada) have had a brief warm spell (was 11oC today!) and will return to snow on the weekend... sigh!

  21. But it's so pretty! I've never experienced that much snow. I imagine it would be tiring after a while. Stay warm!!
