easy apron

I showed a sneak peek of this project back in September.

An easy as can be apron!
A bit of fabric + A pre-made canvas apron!
details
fabric is Betty Dear by Darlene Zimmerman for Robert Kaufman
designed by me
started on 8/26/10
finished on 9/2/10

It's featured in the latest Quilts & More on page 80. You can see a slideshow of all the aprons here.

I cut flowers out from two of the prints and fused them onto the apron.

I didn't have time to hire a model... so here I am wearing it in the kitchen before I mailed it off!

I made bias tape from the fabric and used it to trim the entire apron. I also added a ruffle... and I love how the ruffle turned out!

Would anyone be interested in a tutorial on how I did the ruffle?
{ I didn't use a ruffle foot... }
