since i'm stuck here.
recovering from the surgery.
{wisdom teeth}
{wisdom teeth}
and in lots of pain.
& unable to sew.
i thought i'd share a few things with you.
that you probably don't know.
1. i'm allergic to most pain meds... including those they gave me this week... so i'm surviving on Tylenol & lots of ice.
2. i love chocolate & candy... i have a big time sweet tooth. {which is so not happy this week... & is surviving off of rita's water ice}
3. i work full time... and sew & quilt in my free time. luckily i have the greatest boss in the world. {my dad}
4. i founded a chapter of delta phi epsilon at drexel u. when i was in college & now i'm an advisor to the chapter at temple u.
5. i've never missed a single episode of LOST. the show may be strange at times but i've been committed since the beginning.
6. my favorite color is orange. when i was a little kid my favorite color was purple.
7. i didn't learn to drive till i was 18. i had no desire to learn & my brother finally convinced me to take my test.
8. my parents went to the same high school... graduated the same year... but didn't meet till they were 20. they are still together & celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary last year.
9. i'm allergic to most flowers... the smell drives me bananas. all but purple irises.
10. i'm addicted to RENT. i've seen it on broadway a few times... know the soundtrack by heart... and watch the movie on occasion as well.
so there you go.
hopefully i'll be back up & running soon.
cause this is no fun.
miss you!
We miss you too! I have just started watching Lost. I am on Season 2 right now. I love chocolate and candy, hated orange until I had my son and now I love it. Purple irises were the first thing I planted at my first house and now I am making a quilt based on those colours. I hope you will be getting better soon.

ReplyDeleteFeel better real soon. I enjoy your blog and your creativity!
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting us get to know you a little better - I too am a lover of all things LOST!!!!! Seriously I'm an addict - there should be some sort of 12 step program for people like me - I need to know how its gonna end - AHHHHH!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the quirks! I had my wisdom teeth out last winter and one was impacted. But the "good stuff" was completely ineffectual on me so Tylenol was my crutch, too. And popsicles.
ReplyDeleteHeal quickly!
I hope you feel better soon! Thank you for letting us get to know you a little better.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a speedy recovery. Take care.
ReplyDeleteyes, get better soon! hopefully you've got a good stash of ice cream to keep that mouth cold!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the nice intro! You sure accomplish a lot for someone who works full time. So sorry you're allergic to pain meds-they really help with dental work! Hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteFeel better! I had mine out ten years ago and I remember how much it sucked.
ReplyDeleteLOST is awesome! I don't want it to end though :( I only got into it recently but after alot of LOST marathons through netflix I'm caught up.
I Love LOST!!!!
ReplyDeleteFeel Better soon, ICE, ICE and more ICE!!!
Glad the surgery is over, and that you are on the mend. Get well quickly so you can sew, sew, sew. Love your work and chocolate.
ReplyDeletethat's so cool about your parents!
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling better.
I just got into Lost last year and am so glad I did. Just wish I could watch this last season in a couple of days like we did with all the other seasons :)
Hey, there chipmunk.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait until you're 100% again. Hellos to those cute parental types of yours...35 years....you better ask them what their secret is!!
I hope you will be all better very soon! I know about those reactions to meds/can it get any worse? Thanks for sharing the little tid bits about yourself!
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon. At least your Rita's in open in the winter!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are feeling better - when I had mine out I only had 2 - the joke was that I was only give 1/2 the wisdom as everybody eles. I totally understand the pain med issue - its the same for me as well as the flowers issue. I also work for my family so thats a huge benefit for time off. Hope you continue to feel good.
ReplyDeleteOh no, it doesn't sound like you're having much fun :( I'm getting my lower wisdom teeth out next Saturday and I'm trying very hard not to think about it! I really hope you make a speedy recovery and are back sewing ASAP!
ReplyDeleteI love Rent. Saw it with the original cast on Broadway when I was in HS. Also love orange, hence the blog name and the color of my studio.
ReplyDeleteI love this! Thank you for sharing and helping me get to know you a little better =)
