katie jump rope.

a while back i mentioned that i got a FQ bundle of katie jump rope...

well it still looks like this...

i can't decide what to make with it...
i love so many quilts i see that use KJR...
so help me...
what would you make with it?

and fyi.. i got it from pickled pear lane... great shop to work with... Marianne is super sweet!!

    I too love KJR fabric, and have quite a nice stash of it. I think these would make a really bright and cheerful coin quilt. You could use a solid color sashing - even something other than white.

    Usually when it's fabrics I love, I can't ever think of what to do with them because I can't bear to cut into them. I do like badlandsquilts' idea of the single girl pattern.

    My own instinct would be something simple to let those gorgeous colors shine. Like a traditional 9-patch sashed in solid white, or wonky log cabin blocks.

    I probably wouldn't make anything with it for a long while. I'd be too delighted to have some "grown-up" designer fabrics that I'd just keep perfectly fanned out like that for me to look at occasionally.

    Yay Julie! I'm glad you're looking to cut into those lovely fabrics. I always though Denyse's prints would be perfect in a double wedding ring (good example: http://www.flickr.com/photos/theworkroom/3582976185/ ).     I really like the idea of a double wedding ring or a single girl quilt! I was going to say pinwheels, but I don't think you can go wrong with that line!

    Half square triangle are always a good way to go. But a coin quilt is just wonderful too. Solid white would be a great contrast to set of the wonderful colors of the Katie Jump Rope fabrics. Can't wait to see what you come up with.

    I have a stack of KJR fabric too but haven't cut into it either. My plan, at this point, is to do a bento box quilt.

    I have the fat quarter bundle also and was going to use it as a border for my Cinderberries Girls stitcheries but the colors didn't go....How about making a Bento Box with it? I love Bento Box quilts

    I also love that fabric! The colors are so vibrant and I think that something simple that showcases the fabric/colors would be best.

    I have seen some what I call square, in a square, in a square quilt that look great. Whatever you make will be fabulous.

    I don't know but I'm eyeballing that fabric line a little more these days. Maybe a pinwheel or the hedgerow block that someone else pointed out in a comment above (that one is on my list to do too).

    Hey! I have that same pile, from the same place - she is great to order from. I'm reading through everybody's suggestions, since I don't know how best to use them, either! I will probably go with a bunch of white with it, though. I think that makes the colors stand out more when your eye has some resting places in between.

    I suck. I have no inspiration for you. I don't like buying fabric without a pattern first, as usually when I do decide what to do with it I don't have enough of the fabric to make what I want. you're on your own!! lol Can't wait to see what you decide to do with it though!
