I am very careful and still offer a special prayer request as I baste that it is mostly straight. Usually I mark a large blue tape cross on the floor that I use for centering my back and layers as I sandwich and baste. It is always a challenge but the reward is an interesting back.QuiltingCyclisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06257500754356718535noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7274017083888923216.post-29332136085784119302011-05-02T11:46:56.218-07:002011-05-02T11:46:56.218-07:00Thanks for the tutorial on how to make a pieced ba...Thanks for the tutorial on how to make a pieced back - I love it.

I was one of those who guessed that your block belonged to Judy L of Patchworktimes.com

sao in Midlothian, VA
drsaowens@gmail.com
www.shirleyannesheart.comsaohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08864205467208610424noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7274017083888923216.post-7659299092945462622011-05-02T08:46:34.164-07:002011-05-02T08:46:34.164-07:00Thanks for the Tut. I loosely pin-basted the whole quilt where I had a lot of give around the area I wanted to line up, and then I un-taped it. I picked it up and hand-basted the pieced area to line it all up exactly. I then taped it back down and re-basted it with pins.

Minorly troublesome, but it worked out really well, and made all the difference to the appearance of that particular quilt.EABhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14086387967692442908noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7274017083888923216.post-11672022197743751692011-05-01T15:20:27.736-07:002011-05-01T15:20:27.736-07:00hee hee, I needed your tip about putting aside the...hee hee, I needed your tip about putting aside the binding fabric a few weeks ago.
