This is actually a quilt that started out as possibly a quilt for the book. As the design developed I realized she needed a small border, so she became a pattern!
I included 4 sizes! You know I love size options.

Here are the outtakes and detail photos!
Similar to the cover, but the blue sky was better than the having the other fences in the background.
Detail of the binding and Angela's amazing quilting.
I tried having it bunched up rather than flat, but it didn't seem to add anything to the photo.
Here is a peek at the back. I used extra fabrics to make a large vertical label strip. You can learn how to make your own labels with my spoonflower label tutorial. I also have a tutorial on how to make a pieced quilt back.
A flat shot to see more of the quilt.
My parents being silly again. I have the most supportive parents in the world & I wouldn't trade them for anything.
Quilts keep people warm on windy days. This photo also shows you more of the back of the quilt.
We were fighting the same wind as the photos for Varsity.
In the end I went back to one of the photos from day #1.
This pattern will start shipping on May 1st!

If I were single, and a good deal younger, I'd say that Brad and the quilt are Yummy. I love the photo of him wrapped up in the quilt.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos...thanks for sharing them.
Your parents are such fun!!!
ReplyDeleteThe Quilt is truly YUMMY!!!
Wishing you much success with this wonderful new pattern.
Have a great day.
Always, Queenie
I have to say that you are currently my favorite quilt designer. I will soon be jumping into Come What May and these newest quilts are now at the top of my list of wants pattern-wise. Keep creating for us!
ReplyDeleteThe outtakes always are such a kick Julie! And I love that everyone jumps into help even if it's cheering section. On this cover shot I love the blue sky and spiky plant which contrast so nicely with all the curves in the quilting.
ReplyDeleteReally like the pattern and the colors!
ReplyDeleteLove the pattern and the colors. The van color-coordinates perfectly.
ReplyDeleteThis quilt design is really gorgeous, Julie. It looks like perfect sushi ( that I don't eat but think is beautiful). The colors and quilting are perfect for it too. They both capture the textures so well. It has a nicely masculine quality that you don't see often as well.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love it. A lot.
This is a "must have" pattern. ~ Love it ~Perfect timing for the VW Van leaving ~ love all the pics!
ReplyDeleteVery cute! Actually both of your new patterns are very cute!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the two of you on the bench.
ReplyDeleteYup... I need this one.
