Taffy!

Introducing Taffy!

Taffy is a mix of Lazy Angle Blocks & Traditional Blocks.
Did you know they play well together?
:-)

When Kate showed a sneak peek a while ago of the colors for hew new line I knew that I wanted to work with it.  Kate put a rainbow of colors in her new collection & even though orange is my favorite I decided to use just a few prints when designing this quilt.

Details
Fabric is Terrain by Kate Spain for Moda
Pattern - Taffy
Designed by me
Quilted by Angela Walters
Started on 4/9/11
Finished on 4/28/11
Quilt measures - 60" x 60"

Here is the back cover.
It has three size options... the Medium is shown on the pattern cover.

Here are a few detail photos... I need to take more but I already packed this quilt for market!

A peek at the binding.

The wind was crazy again... but the wind seems to know when I need to take photos of quilts.

I love this photo even though you don't see much of the quilt design.  I guess it's just the setting in my friend's garden... it was a really nice day and I wanted to sit out & have a picnic.

Here is a peek at the bottom.

Taffy - JBQ112
This pattern will be available after market!!

If you are coming to Quilt Market you can come see Taffy in my Booth.... #2644!

Beautiful! And love that you used purple! So many steer away from it & this is just a beautifull shade, especially with the aqua.

I like the movement in this one! And I love that you used purple!

really spectacular! It reminds me of Storm at Sea with the way the elements interlock and form (what looks to be) curves. Perfect for a focus or fussy-cut fabrics--this is going to be a major hit!!

I can't wait until this patter comes out! As much as I like modern quilts (and often, the simplicity that comes with them!) I've been thinking about getting back to some more traditional blocks but with modern fabric. This will be PERFECT!
