Sunday Stash Report - Week 7

busy week!
lots of sewing... not a lot of blogging... but it'll all be worth it in the end!
i am still working on the rest of the binding tutorials
hopefully part 3 will be finished this week.

I spent yesterday catching up with Rachael. It included a trip to get yummy yummy cupcakes since my birthday kinda came and went with no cake & not much joy. Friends come and go through your life but every once in a while you develop a friendship with someone that turns into a life long bond that is more like family. Rachael is more than just my sorority sister... she is family to me. She knew that a simple thing like remembering my birthday and getting me a cupcake meant the world to me.

fyi... Elijah was first taken to the hospital on my birthday and then eventually diagnosed. Understandably it took over all of our lives and my birthday didn't seem to really matter. I get lots of e-mails asking how he is and I appreciate them all. He is in round 3 of treatment and this round has had much less side effects. My parents are in LA right now spending time with him & my west coast family. Here is a recent picture of Elijah with my mom that my SIL Karin took. I miss my west coast family...and my dad... but right now I really miss my mom!

E is so adorable, and such a precious picture. Think about him every single day.

Look at your totals! Feels good, huh? (Not that I would know!) Keep it up, sweetie! You're really churning them out!

I am relatively new to this blog, and I had no idea you had a sick child. I am blown away by your strength and willingness to continue to give of your time to the quilting community.
I was going to send you a message today anyway to tell you that, thanks to your great binding tutorial, I cut bias strips and bound a small quilt with them for the first time ever yesterday! (And it looks just like it is supposed to!)
I will be thinking good thoughts for you and Elijah. May God bless you both. Stay strong, Mama!

I see now that Elijah is your nephew. What an AWESOME sister you are, and what an amazing family you have. Elijah is surrounded by so much love, and that, as you know, is some powerful medicine!

28+yds out! Wow you have been a whirlwind! I checkin on E's blog often, so happy he is doing well with this round. I started to say nothing in and nothing out when I realized I bought 16 yds yesterday at M & L. Some to fill in boxes for IBOL . Several yds to make a skirt for my granddaughter and 3 yds KONA for a quilt top. Watch out next week...when my IBOL boxes go out!

I'm so sorry that such a sad turn of event had turned your lives upside down. I live far from my family, so even thought I technically a 'grown up' I miss my mum too..a lot ♥
Positive thoughts for Elijah and creamed filled hugs with a cherry on top for the special birthday girl ♥

Thanks for keeping everyone updated on Elijah. It is understandable about your birthday.
You are really putting fabric to great use. I can't imagine being as productive as you are.

I love your binding tutorial and I think you are quite a hard worker. I am enjoying watching all of your posts.

My very best to Elijah. I will send warm, loving, healing thoughts his way. I know you don't know me and all but its from one human to another. And what beats that?

It seems like sewing goes in streaks for me too...sewing one week, cutting another week. Sorry about the tough family times. I use sewing like therapy...I hope sewing is doing that for you now!

Elijah and your Mom are so cute together. I know what a tough time this has been for you and your family, but those little moments are what make every day so sweet.
Sending my love and prayers as always dear one...
