Sunday Stash Report - Week 1

I went back and forth with myself over if I'd do "Sunday Stash" this year.  In the end I decided I'd post with a few changes from last year in an effort to take some stress off of myself.

1. Less photos... or less pressure on myself  to have a photo of everything.  If I have a photo I'll post it... but if I forget to take a photo of new fabric I'm not gonna stress myself over finding the fabric and taking a photo before posting.
2. When possible I'll list item by item where I used the fabric but I won't hold myself to listing the details.
3. No goals and no pressure. Last year I had personal goals for the year and for some weeks and it lead to pressure... and not the good kind. So this year each week will be whatever it will be.
4. I posted every Sunday last year through week 33 and then posting got a bit wonky.  I'm gonna do my best to post each Sunday this year... I think items 1-3 from above will make that easier.

If you don't know all about "Sunday Stash" you aren't alone. To fill everyone in Judy just did a post on it.

I never did a week 51 or 52 post from last year. I figured some of you would want to see my final numbers.

The last few weeks of 2010 and any missed items from earlier weeks.
46.76 in
.56 out

2010 totals
purchased: -760.70 yds
busted: 582.83 yds
net: -177.87 yds

I'm a girl who loves fabric & isn't afraid to admit it.

I didn't want to make a post with no photos at all... so here is photo of the first quilted new label from the new spoonflower labels I just ordered. This is also officially my first finished quilt of 2011 as I finished the binding last night. The amazingly talented Angela did the quilting. I wish I could show you the front of the quilt but that will have to wait a bit as it is being published.

  2. I don't blame you one bit about changing your stash report guidelines Julie. Stress and pressure can take something very enjoyable and turn it into a love/hate situation fast.

    I really like your labels.

    Happy New Year.

  6. Love the new rules Julie, like Natalie said quilting should be stress free and anything that helps it stay that way is a very good thing. You did inspire me to keep track of my ins and outs this year, I had more of both! Sending lots of positive thoughts for the new year.
