Y knot!

i made 5 of these blocks for layout #1
and i didn't use this block in layout #2... but you can!

sew another 3 sets of strips together
and
follow the cutting instructions to make your pieced triangles

then take 6 from one strip.
and lay them out like this.

and then sew them together as we have been doing each week

here are some Y knots.. along with some floating hexagons and kaleidescope blocks

we only have 2 more posts in the quilt-a-long!
block #7

This is fabulous Julie, I'm seriously considering joining in, tho we are going away soon so it won't be for another 2 months. Will you still have instructions up by then? Great work I say!!! xo

Love the stripes. I need to get busy and work on my blocks and catch up!

So glad I joined - even though I am either behind or only pick&choose the hex versions I like best. Thanks for sharing the apparently unlimited possibilities of hexagon lay-outs! This will not be my last hexagon quilt - I see many more in my future...

wow! These are wonderful hexagons...I am a novice quilter, with sooo many unfinished quilt parts and pieces!

So fun seeing the blocks to this!

Blessings & Aloha!
